Description

Welcome to Reddit, the heart of the internet. Reddit is a social network with something for everyone: trending topics, diverse discussions, engaging communities and comment threads. Redditors have authentic and interesting conversations around all sorts of curated content. You’ll find gaming communities, bloggers, meme-makers, fandoms, travel enthusiasts, support groups, AI forums, news junkies, artists, and creators of all types. Reddit has over 100,000 online communities (forums where members post and comment) dedicated to specific topics. Some of the most popular communities are: • r/AskReddit, where users can ask and answer questions • r/funny, which is full of humorous content • r/science, for scientific discussions and news • r/gifs, with funny animated gifs for your viewing pleasure On Reddit you’ll find: • Thousands of community groups Breaking news, social media trends, sports highlights, TV fan theories, open AI discussions and personalized content, there's a community for everyone. • Loads of laughs Find memes, oddly satisfying videos, funny videos, and more to help you lose track of time. • AMAs, or "Ask Me Anything" Celebrities, politicians, and experts answer questions from users. • The best discussions on any topic Reddit’s discussion threads are where community members jump in with humor and insights for just about anything; pop culture, sports, entertainment, or financial advice. • Answers to questions Ask communities anything you want. Ask questions on relationships, mental health, parenting, career help, fitness plans, and more. • Your people, your conversations Jump into community groups and threads, connect over any topic, and chat with redditors who share your interests. Voting and Karma: Instead of likes and hearts, Reddit’s social network runs on upvotes or downvotes. Voting on posts and comments increase or decrease the creator’s karma, and helps popular and relevant posts rise to the top, while filtering out low-quality or irrelevant posts. While karma doesn't directly impact your ability to use Reddit, more karma can increase posts’ visibility and help you get noticed. Some communities require karma to post or comment, which helps prevent spam or low-quality content. Reddit Premium: Purchase Reddit Premium to enjoy an ads-free experience and access to premium avatar gear, r/lounge, custom app icons, and more. Payment will be charged on a recurring monthly or annual basis to your Apple account. Your monthly or annual Premium subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before your subscription ends. Cancel anytime in your device’s Account Settings. No partial refunds. It’s the platform for AI & Trolls. We’ve all seen the memes about Reddit & Discord.

I dont like filling my phone with useless bloat, i open reddit when its one of the top results for what im looking for but im about to blacklist it from showing up in my search results because they dont want mobile users using the website anyway. So annoying seriously.
  • Reddit politics as dumb as the people running it.

I was the biggest defender for the social network, literally using it exclusively because of how other social networks have become but it's surprising how it lives up to its reputation. Reddit mods and Reddit incels are really a thing! You can really be chewed out for being normal and if you ever try to defend your opinion you get banned? The best part is 99% of the subs have a rule where you're not allowed to discuss such things? This is what I get for using a platform seriously? What happened to free speech?
  • Very Dishonest & Prejudice

I have been a user on Reddit for a little over a year now. I have tried very hard to be a good part of the community from my time in Reddit. I avoid politics and other heavy subjects. I follow cat and dog subs, as well as funny videos.. literally, that’s ALL i engage in. Well, If you make ANY honest mistake, a BOT will punish you. Even after you appeal and honestly and thoughtfully explain your side, and, even if the facts point otherwise, they will chose to punish you out of a loop hole or some obscure way. An actual HUMAN supposedly reviews the appeal, yet, they will ignore the obvious and the actual facts. They won’t use their discretion or treat you with respect. They treat you like a criminal that has to prove themselves, no matter how long or, how much you have demonstrated to be a valuable and kind part of the community. I am considering just deleting my account if i am to be treated like i’m a problem, when i have done the absolute opposite. I HIGHLY recommend not getting involved in Reddit. They have a ridiculous system involving made up “internet points” which they use a bot to determine. They will immediately banned you for a making honest mistakes, and ignore your pleas and truthful explanation. They will ban you before warning you. They will ban you for a single word. They will ban you and even after an appeal, they will ignore you onward and give you no options to explain your issues. You get 250 characters to plea your case, only ONE time for an appeal. You can be as honest as kind and thoughtful as you can, and they treat you like a criminal and a problem. I have done nothing but add to the community and yet, i was punished while just joking around and participating in a fun time. Thanks a lot Reddit, way to punish your honest users who have only good intentions. No wonder only the horrible people are more common than good people..
  • Latest '26 update ruined the app

If Reddit’s goal was to reduce user engagement, they have succeeded. The most recent update has made the app so unpleasant to use that I now routinely skip opening it. I have never once complained until now.
  • Atrocious App

Giving PERMANENT banning power to agoraphobic basement dwellers was a mistake. Communities are mostly echo chambers catering to the biased views and opinions of the moderators.
  • SO MANY BUGS

Also posted in r/bugs (iOS) (desktop) Disappearing Images in Posts Hi. Today is May 27 and this has been an ongoing issue in [r/HenryCavill](/r/HenryCavill/). The following phenomenon happens to new posts, as well as older posts that have looked normal for a week or even several weeks. Suddenly some posted photos are just black boxes and when clicked (in the iOS app), an error says "Media has been removed". Oddly, on the website, some of the same post photos show a black box that says "If you are looking for an image, it was probably deleted", but \**sometimes*\* clicking on the image anyway will show the photo. As a Moderator, this is very frustrating. I don't want to leave "empty" posts, if/when they are truly empty. And I don't want to remove posts that LOOK empty to me, but are actually fine despite the Reddit platform issue. However... either way, I primarily use my iPhone, and I don't have time to constantly check every post (new and old) **again**, via the website, from my Mac. Is this issue going to be fixed soon? TYIA. Today is now June 9 and the above issue is even worse. You just had an update yesterday and didn’t address it. I posted in r/bugs May 27 as well, and I haven’t received any kind of acknowledgment or response there either. I’m ready to shut down the sub and quit moderating for free. My 37,000+ members would have to get the content somewhere else since they CANT EVEN SEE THE PHOTOS HERE ANYMORE ANYWAY.
