Description

Mutual is the largest and fastest-growing dating app for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! (aka LDS/Mormon) Mutual is the place where single members of the Church can meet, chat, and date other LDS singles. No matter where you’re at along your dating journey, you’ll find people who relate to you, understand your background, share your values, and have similar interests to you. The app was created by BYU grads who know how difficult it can be to meet people who share the same interests, values, and standards. We don’t suggest using the LDS Tools directory! Let us be your wingman and provide you with the proper LDS tools to make dating less difficult. Mutual offers features that allow you to make deeper connections beyond someone's profile photo. By highlighting shared interests with potential matches, hosting frequent speed dating sessions, and more! At Mutual, we are committed to keeping the app a safe place. All profiles are reviewed by a real person to receive verification, and 100% of the profiles on the app are verified. We also make it easy to report inappropriate behavior in the app to maintain a positive environment for everyone. Just like every church building, visitors are always welcome at Mutual! Although our focus is on members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, anyone can join Mutual as long as they uphold our high standards. Even if they still use the M word (Mormon). Premium = MORE FEATURES Upgrade to Premium for access to exclusive new features, including See Who Likes Me to see who has already swiped up on you, Profile Boost to be seen more often and match faster, Ward Hop to change your location and match around the world, Unlimited Double Takes to undo past swipes, Ninja Mode to go invisible to everyone except people you swipe up on, More Filters to filter by height, and Daily Notes to stand out and increase your chance of matching. ------------------- Mutual is free to use, but if you choose to subscribe, payment will be charged to your iTunes account, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Auto-renewal may be turned off at any time by going to your settings in the iTunes Store after purchase. Current MutualUp subscription prices start at $14.99 USD/week and one week, one-month, 3-month, and 6-month packages are available. Prices are in U.S. dollars, may vary in countries other than the U.S. and are subject to change without notice. • Age restrictions 😬

I would LOVE if there was a way to block certain ages from viewing my profile. So many notifications are coming from guys old enough to be my dad! I stopped attending the singles ward because they keep attending and hitting on the young women there.
  • Great for connections but needs Read Receipts

I have had some good matches here but as a guy who puts effort into my openers it is tough not knowing if they have even been seen. Adding a feature to see if a message was read whether she swiped up or down would take the guesswork out of dating and help us know when to move on! Also I notice a lot of people from out of state swipe on me while girls in my own state do not as much. It would be much better to get more matches closer to where I live so we can actually meet up. Also I get matches from girls who do not put where they live and it turns out are too far away. They do not have to list their town but it would be nice if they had to at least list their state so I know if a real connection is even possible.
  • Penpal with a ghost

I decided to take another shot and pay for the service this time, unlike last time where I stuck with the free version, but I can’t say my experience has been much better. I just end up having more conversations with people who are 500 miles away. Mutual is one of the better dating apps, especially if you’re LDS, but here’s the thing: it only really works well in areas with large LDS populations. Even in areas with a significant number of members, like where I live, you tend to run out of the stack pretty quickly if you’re a guy, and rejection is common. So you end up talking with girls you’ve already made two or three compromises on preferences for, chatting for maybe two weeks, and then nothing comes of it. So if you want a pen pal who’s going to ghost you, it’s a great app for that.

This app is very easy to use and a great way to meet LDS singles. I’ve had a positive experience so far and met some nice people. Highly recommend it.
  • Idea is okay, software is terrible

I like the idea of having a church-centered dating app but the software needs a rehaul. Cropping photos doesn’t work and the overall responsiveness is lack luster. It feels like a student project. Use native or flutter or something

Seems to be a very sound way to meet and make friends with LDS singles and new acquaintances.
  • Mutual sucks

They limit who you can text unless you buy premium EVEN BLOCKING those who sent you notes unless you pay. I do not think anyone should pay for mutual premium or use this service.

This site to me is great as far as meeting people that live all over the year. The only thing is that I have had many men send me inappropriate pictures and they ask for naked pics of me.
