It’s $120 a year up front. That’s a lot. I’d rather pay $200 for full copy, but this app is amazing at what it’s done, and it’s worth it for me who uses on iPad, MBAir, MBPro, iPhone, and Apple Vision Pro. The fact that it works flawlessly between all of them is incredible.

I haven’t used many competitors -but this tool has it all. BEST it synchronises across all my devices so that late night call at the restaurant “servers are all down” can be fixed on your phone. Plus all the bookkeeping, smart ideas for teams etc. Its a coders tool written by coders.

I’ve built 8 web apps in 8 months using various AI platforms, and there have been multiple game changers during that time - discovering Claude, implementing Claude Code on my hosted server, and now, using Termius to vibe code. I’m shooting for 12 web apps by month 12, but with Claude and Termius, I’ll probably run out of ideas before I run out of any vibe ceiling!
  • iOS SSH failed due to no backward support

With iOS 16 and later I discovered that Apple had removed some encryption algorithms from SSH — algorithms I needed to support older Cisco equipment. We were locked out until we found Termius — which has legacy support that works perfectly. Overall the other features let us manage our SSH sessions much more efficiently now as well.

The app is great, works well with tailscan for SSH-ing into multiple raspberry pi’s servers on Hetzner, Azure, and whatever other things you want to remote into.

    1. Forces you to create an account and syncs your SSH keys to third-party servers just to use a basic SSH client. Closed source, can't verify their "end-to-end encryption" claims. 2. CPU/GPU nightmare on M1 Pro. Terminus Helper (GPU) alone eats 25-30% CPU at idle with a few SSH sessions open. Combined with the main process it's 50-57% CPU. This drags WindowServer to 42% too. 3. Known Electron + macOS 26 (Tahoe) bug that Termius hasn't fixed. Every other Electron app (Discord, VS Code) addressed this months ago. Termius 9.37.6 still has the issue. 4. !!!! Spams 12 mDNS connections (port 5353) scanning local network for SSH hosts, even when you don't use that feature. Can't fully disable. 5. Constant sandbox errors in system logs. App keeps trying to access serial port bindings and failing, likely causing retry loops. Better alternatives: Ghostty, Warp, or just built-in Terminal with ~/.ssh/config. None of them eat 57% CPU to show a terminal window!!!!!!

I shouldn’t need an account to access devices on my own network. This app used to be very good but now I need an alternative.
