    This app is so amazing for my small business! It keeps track of all my inventory, product stock, and prices! It makes it so easy for check out, you can do Apple Pay, or card payments on your phone! It only takes a small fee from your card payment but is SO worth it! 100% worth it!!!!

    DO NOT USE SQUARE!!! They have zero focus on merchants issues with using their software, apps, and products. They 100% focus on how to TAKE more of your money. The new update in December, THE BUSIEST time of year, switched my retail wine shop into their restaurant mode. Every sale was an order waiting to be settled with NO option to settle. I had to wait 36 hours for “orders” to settle. No items came out of inventory until 36 hours later. No way of knowing what was in stock or wasn’t. Web orders were a nightmare. Tech support was tremendously stupid! I told them it’s acting like a restaurant. Ignored me. The first call in they said it’s because of the time difference, I’m in California. The second call they said “your orders are splitteted”. WHAT?!? 28 days later they said “it looks like you’re set up as a restaurant”. I told them that 28 days prior. All they could do was change the settlement time to 1.5 hours after I close. And…tech support is through email and they make you jump through hoops sending screen shots, and videos that they can’t access because they’re not allowed to view them but asked for them.

    1 year after purchasing the square stand…the IPad keeps losing connection with the stand 😣 we tried everything to troubleshoot the connection issue and nothing has worked. To use the stand, you must disconnect & reconnect the iPad for each transaction. The hardware does NOT stay connected to the Retail app.

    I generally dislike Square and its approach to never fixing issues that persist in the software, sometimes for years after it’s brought to their attention. The technical support is virtually nonexistent.
  • Nonexistent customer service

    Skim my transactions, block vendor/supplier payments because they are sure why and can’t fix it. Damage my business credit. Damage supplier relationship. Destroy sections of customer base through unfulfilled orders they blocked for no reason. They don’t know why they don’t care they can’t fix it and they won’t even try. Paid for 18 months for a website that didn’t work then I lost my wallet one day. My SQUARE DEBIT card was in it. The one I have automatic payments TO SQUARE coming from. Notified SQUARE that I need a new debit card. They allegedly send me a new one and issue a digital form. A couple days go by and they run the old card TWO DAYS before payment is due and shockingly it doesn’t go through. So, since SQUARE couldn’t charge me early for SQUARE on my SQUARE card that SQUARE cancelled and SQUARE reissued - they shut my system down at 2 in the afternoon with no communication whatsoever. Steer clear. I’m getting my inventory straightened up and bouncing the second I get a clean export.
