It kinda feels like I’m a kid staring at a stone, trying to make it levitate. It’s as though someone told me I have magic powers but I can’t find them and I’m growing frustrated trying to find the “person who is looking”, etc. I have hope it will start to click. I do trust the process but it’s a frustrating and slow moving one for me.

I’ve been meditating consistency for a long time and always struggled. Never felt like I fully understood how to do it and if it was working. This app very quickly changed how I understood meditation and how to practice. Very grateful to have stumbled upon this. Life changing in a very real way.

I do not like having to install an app before I learn there’s no functionality without a $160 subscription. This is slimy.
  • Fantastic structure for beginners and experienced alike

I have been meditating for some years on and off, so sitting is not new to me at all, and yet I still found much that was quite useful in the 28 day starting course. O think it would be a fantastic grounding of concepts for beginners as well. I am keeping the subscription and will be using it as my daily meditation app going forward. I highly recommend it
  • Great explanation and a good price!

I enjoyed doing the beginner course on the app and it’s profoundly useful to my daily life. I would recommend this to anyone looking to start a habit of meditation.

Wish I had found this app sooner. It really teaches you how to approach your thoughts and the value of mindfulness. I’ve tried other meditation apps which just give you a structured meditation, but aren’t didactic in the same way waking up is.

I paid for a family plan for a year and felt it wasn’t worth the money. I enjoyed the 30 day intro course because I felt like it taught me the “why” behind meditation, but after that, I felt like the content was way overpriced. And now that I see what a hateful man Sam Harris, I would rather not give him anymore money.
  • I’m awake, and I’m sure I’m not the only one 😉

I’m not new to meditation, but I’ve never experienced anything like Waking Up. I do know that for me, personally, I had to be where I am today to truly benefit from it and really get it! The best part is that there’s nothing to get!

That someone with his politics espouses mindfulness of any kind. Very disappointed. Will not be paying for this subscription any longer.
