Cannot get in as a guest. Low level app
  • Doesn’t start consistently

The content collected by the app is pretty varied. However, often times when the app is started, the splash screen appears and that’s it.
  • Dark patterns, mediocre news

Honestly noticed zero benefit of subscribing to this vs just… reading other news. They also bury the cancel subscription button deep enough you’ll have to use a search engine to figure out how to get to it. Downvote.
  • Disguised Bias

Some bias is blatant, some is subtle. Ground News follows the second path. It claims to be neutral. But check the “factual” ratings. “Highly factual” ratings almost always appear on the Left or Central. The right is often rated “low factual”. That’s not accidental. Especially for a platform that claims not to do fact checking.
  • It works, but local news is a joke.

When you go to local news it can use your location but just shows me articles from inside the US. There’s nothing local about that. I’m in a fairly populated part of Ohio, so the information is online, the effort just wasn’t put in. We have a state government and I don’t see anything about that. Dumb.
  • It could be much greater!

If we were able to respond or rank the news articles. Especially so the people writing them can understand what the real people think and think of their articles. Maybe be able to link article articles that debunk their garbage. Then I would probably want this and pay for it.

Presents summaries with a left wing bias. Paid for a year to support a creator but will not sub again. Fix your summaries
  • Great perspective and summaries

I love seeing real news summarized and showing you who is writing about it left-to-right publications writing about it and if it is factual. No BS clickbait articles.
