Description

One app for all of your events. Track participants on an events course map, view real-time leaderboards, receive participant progress alerts and important updates from events. • View & share results and rankings. • Find event landmarks with the course map. • Track participants via GPS. • Accept or decline tracking notifications. • Receive push notifications for followed participants. • Take and share event photos with all other spectators and participants using the app. • Easily follow and stay up-to-date with Marathons, 5Ks, 10Ks and Triathlons near you. In the Watch app, Apple’s HealthKit is used to collect heart rate and exercise data, and at the end of a run, the workout is saved to Healthkit. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Downloaded this app to support my runner. The app did not track my runner. It shows that she hasn’t started the race over an hour after the start of the race. Without the tracking ability for my runner, it’s just a social media app for photos. Long story short, it doesn’t allow you to track the runner which is the only reason I downloaded the app

  • Worse app ever!

My whole group tried using this app to follow each other while running the LA Marathon. It was horrible and just drained my battery! It doesn’t let you know when you passed checkpoints. It only shows the course map and supposedly where the runners are which was inaccurate and/or you couldn’t even see what mile marker.
  • Abysmal user experience

To echo others’ sentiment, I can’t believe such large, renowned events use this for participants and spectators. The simple process of adding myself and setting up tracking permissions for my family/friends was confusing and inconsistent — I ended up adding them on Find my Frinds via iOS. The new for the one spectator that could follow me, the tracking, GPS, etc was so incorrect, they could t use it at all. If LAM sticks with this app again next year, I will not be redownloading it.
  • Can’t track my wife

The most basic function of this app is to track a runner, I could’t do that! This app doesn’t deserve a single start.
  • LA Marathon organizers should be ashamed of themselves

What a waste of time and an embarrassment for whoever decided to choose this platform for the LA Marathon. As the other reviews indicated, it was incredibly difficult to create an account, as the date of birth options weren’t readily available to input. After all the headache of creating an account and adding my wife so that I could track her, the app didn’t track her for a second of the race. LA Marathon organizers, you should know better than to choose this as an app. Just look at the reviews. You should be ashamed.
  • App tracking doesn’t work

The app tracking initially worked, when my friend was at the LA marathon start line. It then crashed and didn’t show his progress at all. Everyone else I spoke with at the race had this same problem. Even the split time tracker crashed during the race. Caused us to miss our friend and we couldn’t cheer him on along the course.

Surprised that major races use such a buggy app! Hope it performs better in the future.
