Try to cancel orders can get no response from Whatnot. All they did was moved it over saying asked for a refund and checking on shipping. It’s been three days now since I’ve asked for the refund and I keep asking or four days and I keep asking for the refund and no one will reply low budget. I’ve been with you guys for a while, but really I need to rethink my option.

My experience with Whatnot’s buyer protection has been extremely disappointing. I filed claims only when there were legitimate problems with my orders. One order was for an RTX 5080 GPU worth over $700 that I never received. Another was an Xbox that I never received. I also purchased a dash cam that was advertised as 4K, but the product I received was only 1080P and did not match the seller’s description. My most recent issue involved cups that I believe are not authentic based on clear differences from genuine products. Instead of evaluating the facts of each claim, Whatnot informed me that my account had been flagged for a high number of refund requests and denied my latest claim. The problem is that those refund requests were the result of issues with the transactions themselves, not abuse of the refund process. What makes this even more frustrating is that, with the exception of the dash cam seller, the sellers involved in these transactions are no longer on the platform. Yet somehow the buyer is being treated as the problem for reporting issues. Buyer protection should protect buyers when items are not delivered, misrepresented, or potentially counterfeit. In my case, it feels like the number of claims mattered more than the reasons behind them. After spending a significant amount of money on the platform, I have lost confidence in Whatnot’s buyer protection process and will be closing my account. Buyers should think carefully before making expensive purchases if they expect meaningful support when something goes wrong.

Be careful, whatnot has no direct support and sellers have the upper hand, most items sold seem to be returns or really cheap items, I’ve seen iPads that sell on Amazon for $90 sold on whatnot for over $200 because people think they are getting a deal.
