  • Great for influencers, awful for sports

    If your looking for a basic 360 camera that has “cool” effects / transitions or you don’t need to change the camera angle often and just want the freedom of wide angle videos the app is fine. If your trying to edit any extreme or high speed sports this app is a nightmare. I’m not sure if this is a bug or feature, but keyframes NEVER actually save. If I have 10 keyframes in a video, and at some point I move around the camera angle to set another key frame ALL of my previous key frames will have changed angles. It’s beyond frustrating having to constantly go back and fix it. Additionally, the option to move the device around with your hands to move a video is awful, for whatever reason it ALWAYS ends up being laggy or changing angles with the zoom slider is as far opposite of smooth as possible.

  • App always destroys time metadata on export.

    When exporting any photo, video, or edit, the app completely destroys the original time metadata. Everything gets saved as if it was created at export time. Even the filename is renamed with the export date, leaving no trace of when the media was actually shot. For trips or events with hundreds of files, this completely breaks photo organization and timeline sorting in Photos/iCloud. It’s an unacceptable flaw for a camera app and honestly makes me not want to use the product at all. They’ve known for years but refused to do anything about it.

    I’m sure this app is great. I just bought a new X5 and have discovered it’s completely useless until while I wait for this 2.4GB app to download. I’m sure this app provides some great features. But it’s required before I can record to the built-in SD card??

    After the major overhaul, export is now broken most of the time. Wrong POV and sometimes even showing the fisheye raw footage despite having selected a POV.

    So it’s a good app when using one of their products. The camera in it is so much better than the Apple camera because it allows you to change things like iso and shutter speed. But, you can only use the camera when one of their products, for example, the flow 2, is connected. Not too big of a problem but still it kinda is annoying when I just wanna take good looking photos without having to carry around a big setup.

  • Too Many Pop Ups!

    Adds and notifications constantly pop up when you’re in the app. You are forced to close them manually. No way to turn them off.
