Quranly is an excellent app for building a daily Qur’an habit. It has a clean interface, strong motivation features, and very positive user feedback, though a few users report syncing and streak-reset issues.

  • Widget Change to Day Streak

Would really love if the widget were different. That it showed day streaks of reading Quran, rather than calculating hasanat. As you see in apps like Snapchat and duolingo, ppl are more motivated by keeping their daily streak.

Assalam Alakium to those who are reading this. January 15th I pre ordered the purple Quran, due to me being in America I payed about $40 when it’s originally $20. I reached out with an email to let them know to this day I have not received my purple Quran and no one has gotten back to me. I get the other emails about deals and the life time Quranly sale but no one has reached out. I am giving one star only for my experience with paying and ordering for the Purple Quran, other than that. The App is great and has helped me a lot with memorizing. InshaAllah, everything works out and that I’m able to receive the Quran I payed for.

I’ve been using the Quranly app since 2021, and nothing has motivated me to read the Qur’an more than this app. It tracks your all-time hasanāt, as well as your weekly and daily hasanāt, and does all the calculations for you. It even shows how many hasanāt you earn for each āyah. What really amazed me is that it also calculates your rewards during Ramadan. I never truly realized how much you could accumulate until I saw it laid out like that. Seeing those numbers motivated me to keep going and strive to earn more. I had never completed the Qur’an three and a half times in one month before, but because of Quranly, I was able to do it. I was honestly shocked and so happy with myself. The app also has a friendly competition feature where you can compete with your friends, along with regional and global leaderboards. There are also challenges you can participate in, which makes it even more engaging. To the person who designed and created this app, may Allah preserve you, reward you for your efforts, grant you a high status, and bless you with the highest level of Jannah. This is truly one of the best apps out there—it never ceases to amaze me.

    Not a fan of this.
  • Lacks some necessary pieces

I wanted to love this app but it is lacking some necessary features. For example, if you exit the app while it is playing, the recitation ends and you have to start from the beginning. You also cannot auto play each surah and instead have to keep pressing play. I understand this is helpful for some but I tend to reach fast and it becomes a burden. On top of this, the app often has challenges but these challenges do not sync up with your regular recitation so you may have listen to 1 Juz on a challenge but your normal recitation won’t reflect this.

I really wanted to use this app because the concept and design are great. However, the way the free option is presented made me uncomfortable. The message saying it is “between you and Allah” if you choose the free option creates a feeling of moral pressure. Some people may be able to afford the price but simply prefer not to subscribe to apps. That should not make them feel guilty. Because of this, I decided to uninstall the app even though I liked the idea. I hope the developers reconsider how the free option is presented so users can choose without feeling pressured.
