so i guess this app has decided to pay a bunch of people on tiktok to post a bunch of videos with the caption saying theyre “jealous of people who grew up with almond moms because you grew up eating an anti inflammatory diet and now i have to figure it out on my own” , not that exact wording, but every video posted has the exact same copy and pasted caption with hashtag figaffiliate in the bio. are we being serious? is this a joke? there are countless fake accounts posting these videos over and over again, are you employing them to do this or are you partnered with one of those ‘complete tasks to make money’ bs apps? this is revolting, almond mom is a known disordered eating habit that parents push on their kids it has NOTHING to do with anti inflammatory diets and everything to do with RESTRICTING CALORIES BEYOND WHAT IS HEALTHY. i cannot BELIEVE this.

This app is literally a time saver!! I just scan my items and go. Transitioning to a new way of eating can be very time consuming. This app makes it so easy to create my food profile and even helps to find substitutes,if the food I’m used to eating doesn’t align with my dietary needs! Thank you Fig♥️!
  • Would love options for CSID/dissacharidase deficiencies

I really like the app conceptually and functionally. It helped me figure out that gluten free, low-fodmap, and low-histamine diets didn't help me, which triggered me to get diagnosed with what really have (a pan-dissacharidase deficiency, so it's a combined lactose, sucrose, and maltose intolerance). I was kind of surprised that the app didn't have any options for this, though, as they have a lot of different niche options. They have an option for lactose intolerance but I don't even need to follow that if I take lactaid pills so it was a bit of a bummer. Would love to see low-sucrose and low-maltose options on the app in the future.

  • Limited Diet Options

I had hopes for this app having my specific dietary needs as they tout having soooo many options but there isn’t a low fiber option which is necessary for my condition and I’m supposed to be having low sulfur, also not an option in this app. Overall Im pretty disappointed. Not to mention you have to pay crazy amounts of money or hope you get a scholarship. People should not be profiting off chronic illness.

The options for the radio buttons do not apply but I don’t have an option to not selecting any option and move forward on the app

The free version took me less than 10 seconds to find and get and I think it’s a really useful tool to find new food products and items that won’t kill you so if you’re anaphylactic to a bunch of different things definitely worth downloading to look for allergy friendly versions of similar items you want to try!!! 🦎 I’m anaphylactic to dairy, eggs, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, a bunch of different kinds of legumes, coconut protein, raw bananas, and sesame seeds, and something else I’m forgetting but I know it when I see it, along with being intolerant to a whole lot of other stuff that I shouldn’t eat a main one being wheat, so it can be hard looking for new things I can eat or swaps for things I can’t eat but have always wanted to since I was little but yeah this helps for me, and Idk I saw alot of the 1 star reviews say it’s hard to cancel the paid version/they couldn’t find out how to get the free version/some items and restaurants were mislabeled, but it’s really on you the person to double check things if you have intolerances and are like fourteen or older but it just seems most of the problems ppl are having are are from their own lack of digital literacy tbh…. 🦂

This app is really great! I had to start eating a low fodmap diet, and this is really great for trying to make sure I can eat all the foods I’m trying to buy. I also love how customizable it is for your specific dietary restrictions.

I recently was diagnosed with an inflammatory disorder that means I can’t eat a lot of things. Imagine if one day your doctors told you that you can’t eat many things that are part of your daily diet and routine, and many favorite foods. I have been pretty depressed and lost more weight than I had to spare. Fig is helping me turn things around. The ability to go to the grocery store and search or scan something and know right away if I can eat it is really making it much easier to realize I’ll be okay and find my new diet. Truly can’t thank the team behind fig enough. Whether you realize it or not, you’re saving lives.
