  • Worst purchase ever

    I bought this and have regretted it since the day it came. When trying to view the feed on the phone, it works less than 30% of the time. Simply loads forever. The AI cannot tell the difference between a 85+lb German shepherd and a 10 lb cat, no matter how often I correct it. Support teams have done nothing to fix any of this. Waste of money. Cameras have worse quality than much cheaper versions. Do. Not. Buy. Truly a terrible system/service

    One of the biggest annoyances I have with this app is how light the text is. I have to have my brightness all the way up to be able to see the light grey text that’s pretty important info to see. I don’t know why those letters can’t be made easier to see, bigger or bolder or both. For people with bad eyesight it’s really, really hard to see what we’re looking at on the screen. Besides that, I’ve only had a few weird issues that seemed to resolve with updates. One issue was that the times kept duplicating in the app, so there were 2 entries for the same time for all 3 bowls and when it came time to feed I’d get an error message and it wouldn’t open. To fix that I’d have to cancel feeding, reset the feeder and add new feeding times. Every time. Resetting the machine is annoying because then I have to re-enter all the feeding times again. Little glitches like that happen in the app and it makes no sense how or why they even occurs they just do. I’m able to fix most issues myself due to customer service being mostly useless, and I like the auto feeders I just think there are small improvements that could be made to make it a better user experience. Please though, consider making the text easier to read.

  • Forced subscription advertising

    Well, the app functionality is good, I find it annoying that I’m constantly having to click out of their yearly subscription for the video. I use an SD card and yeah, in order to view the videos I click on my videos and get the advertisement to subscribe and then have to go to the SD card then it does it again so then I have to click the SD card and then click the video I want. After spending a lot of money on their video version of this feeder I wish I had not purchased it because I find this annoying and unnecessary.

    I use the SD card to record rather than the cloud subscription. Petlibro seems to intentionally makes using an SD card as frustrating as possible. I’m not just talking about it loading slow, they make it as many clicks as possible to view clips for literally no reason and so many ads. I’m a vet and I used to recommend Petlibro to clients because you could still use them without a subscription, but with how annoying the app is and how it tries to trick you into thinking you need a subscription made me think twice about that.

    This has to be the absolute worst app I’ve ever used, way too much friction has trouble connecting to the device and right out of the gate wants to charge us some annual fee of $129 for some subscription that has nothing to do with feeding our pet.

    My partner and I use the same app to feed our dogs. But when he logs in to the app it sings me out and have to sign back in every time. And when I do it, it signs him out and vice versa. Please add whatever needs to be done to not have this happen! A dark mode would be nice

    This app loves to give you notifications like “your cat’s water intake has changed drastically” and then says it can’t tell you what that means without paying for a subscription. If that’s the case, don’t tell me.

  • Automatic feeder

    We bought an automatic feeder for our kitty because she’s been waking us up very early in the morning. We got one with this company and the feeder itself was $70. I start setting up the feeder and it wants you to pay more money monthly or yearly. No where on the packaging or manual does it say anything about having a subscription. Honestly disappointed.

    Will never buy another PETLIBRO product. The fact they have so many different subscriptions that you are required to have to get the full use of the product I already bought is insane. Not to mention the crazy dark pattern behavior to unsubscribe. Literally not a single place in the app event hints at what to do to unsubscribe.
