  • Better shapes pls

I think we need some sort of shape correction were you hold down and it corrects the shape not including the selection tool because it is almost impossible to make the outlines of shapes and strait lines. We something like procreate’s shape correction or something like the ruler feature in FlipaClip.

Update from my last review. It takes some getting used to if you’re coming from Procreate, but you can see the innovation of Dreams after going through tutorials. And I’m happy to see the glitch where you could draw on a hidden layer fixed.
  • I regret this purchase

I was looking forward to the app, and $19.99 later, I regret the purchase. Even with the latest improvements, it’s not easy to get the app to work, and unfortunately, there are no help tips included within the app. I hate this app & I’ve done better animations in the original Procreate app.
  • It’s a lot better, but there’s still some very big issues with this app

I do like the changes in the app compared to before, but one of the biggest issues I have with the software is that, the features present in standard procreate are just completely gone in procreate dreams. There’s no palm rejection, it’s too easy to randomly select an unwanted color due to that, as well as undo constantly happening, I just don’t quite understand how these features could be so refined in standard procreate and feel completely different inside it’s related software. the Apple Pencil Pro doesn’t have that clicking feel when using the lasso tool, it also just doesn’t work well and constantly has glitches(I’m using top tier equipment, iPad Pro m4) this software feels like it’s trying to be procreate… which I mean shouldn’t be hard because it’s from the same company, yet all the features within it feel as if it was designed to cheaply as possible to imitate its standard software, to best describe it procreate dreams’ features is like using a fake iPhone, all the features are there but done so in a cheap and unsatisfying way. I’d really like to see these improvements get added later on, but as of right now I’d argue it’s almost barely usable due to how inconsistent and glitchy it is.
  • No rotating or auto shape thing?

Those 2 features were genuinely the ONLY thing that set procreate apart from most other drawing apps, streamline and holding to make straight lines. I’m glad they have streamline though, ONLY feature setting it apart from apps like ibix. But for tweening, or the motion feature they are trying to implement, majority of users NEED rotation rather than just movement. Genuinely all they would have to do to are animators flock to this app would be able to make rotate motions and a speed controller, like being able to make the motion slow at begging, end, or both at some point, similar to alight motion. Many artists, specifically animators used normal procreate for drawing, export layer superalloy, THEN use apps like capcut or alight. This app would get double the users if they were to merely use similar,r features to alight like the things previously mentioned. Coming from a person who animates daily and uploads animations often.

Dreams 2 is now complete and fun to use. I feel unshackled by Dreams 1.0. Lot of room to grow my animation skills with Dreams 2.
  • Better than launch but still lacking the comfort of the original

Like the title says, it’s infinitely more usable than it was at launch, but it still lacks the ease of use that Procreate has. The brushes feel much different than the original app in how they function, and the setting adjustments feel different too. The app feels clunky and slow at times, which can be expected of animation software, but is still a downside that would vastly improve the app if removed. Additionally, it’s still missing a lot of the useful features of Procreate, such as drawing assist. The app is better, but still lacking compared to its competitors.
