Procreate Dreams

You can only have one video at once Edit : ”how do you add more videos to same track?”

Procreate dreams is good for animation but it has a flaw… When I go to animate sometimes it crashes! Then when I try to go back into, it crashes! Then my Home Screen when I go to put in my password on my iPad changes from normal to blurry! And on top of that, my Siri responds to hey siri or Siri but when I ask a question she goes away! But it also has a good side. I personally love the perform tool! I like that when you move it it captures that movement allowing you to do fluent animation! And you can add in your own sound/music/sound effects/ etc. So all in all it’s not not bad but, not good. It’s a little in the middle. But I still enjoy it!

Overall I love the app but the time line can be a bit confusing especially when I try to make it smaller on my screen it can start trying to hit the redo button though that might just be user error. BUT the biggest thing I don’t like is that there is no liquify at all which is a tool I always use especially while animating. If they added liquify it would be basically perfect

Couldn't find a way to loop a track or flipbook

The app is fantastic and I can animate on it. The problem is it’s really laggy, or maybe because of my iPad is old. However, Procreate Dreams doesn’t have a shape tool, so you either have to manually draw it, which can be wonky. However, once you learn all the features, the app is really great. If only it didn’t take so much space, lag my iPad, and add some features from Procreate.

It’s okay, but it lags SO MUCH. It might just be my iPad, but I have to restart the app a lot when it freezes. Also, there’s no auto-shape tool. It is definitely much better than normal Procreate’s animation tool, though- you can have multiple layers in one frame, you can add audio, and you don’t need to clarifyeverysingletimethatno,youdon’twantaPNG,youwantaVIDEO. I just wish it lagged less.

This app is very good know that the update has come and I use it a lot more now but the only problem I have at the moment is the filters on drawing mode, all of them don’t work, it stays the same as the original. So if I wanted to use a filter to color something, it would stay the same.

Edit (28/5/26): Hi, same person, just wanted to ask if you could add the ability to expand flipbook in the next major update?? So it could be like the old layout in a way? I was rlly attached to that layout… course the new one has some better stuff. Also could you add some sorta feature to quick scroll through the flipbook? Kinda annoyed when I’m animating and have to tediously scroll right to left furiously just to get through a min and a half ;-;. Also, idea, what if you kinda had like an asset library? That you could import and export? Would probs help collaborators on projects. And scenes Ig? But Idt the absence of scenes rlly bothers anyone. Please know that I believe that this will make animation so much easier and more enjoyable for animators and will be a time saver. Using the app has been amazing, but I think there are some things that can be added and/or fixed in Procreate Dreams. First, I think that there could be a stabilization setting for performance Mode, When I want to shake a little Crazy, or fast movements, it barely moves!, and also when doing a walk Cycle or drifting clouds, it sometimes moves down a bit with my finger. Secondly, After a few days of using Procreate Dreams, when I undo it starts flashing white blocks on that stroke. Third, I think that we should be able to use some of the features in the Movie settings in the beta (as I saw in an animator’s course with beta in some tutorials). Like being able to change the name of the Movie. Fourth, the program randomly freezes in drawing Mode. Fifth, I want to be able to customize and create brushes in Procreate Dreams, as I don’t like the affect of Streamline and what I think is motion Filtering. Next, I think brush cursors would be great, as I for some reason like brush cursor and (maybe hover?). Also, please add the ability of audio scrubbing on flip book, and/or the ability to bring down the timeline to a smaller timeline, where you can scroll to each track. Finally, I would want a bug to be fixed, that bug is, when you draw something zoomed out, it’s somewhat pixelated, and when I zoom in and draw it very sharp. This has always bothered me when drawing a big background, or for a shot to be zoomed out of. In conclusion, Procreate Dreams is an amazing app, and I think could become Industry Standard, and finally given me a comfortable animating app, that won’t bug me for a subscription. But I think it could definitely improve, and don’t pressure yourself to add any of these, as these are suggestions. In fact, I was originally going to add 3d animation as a suggestion. But anyways I was reading the reviews and you guys said in future updates you guys will add more of the features in procreate, including selection, so thank you for making this amazing app!

Probably one of the first apps I got for animation but I began to want a real time collaboration and then it would be the best app to ever exist for 2D animation. To be honest I’ve been looking for way to long trying to find one and I haven’t had much luck I’m just so used to procreate stuff just saying it would make this app way more popular, powerful and the best.
