Once I installed I was sucked into the screen of my computer and WAS Ethan BD (big dick) winters who was ready to take on the world. Once I got to the castle, Lady Dimitrescu almost sucked me dryer than every cooch in a nun’s home. 911/13 would play again. (_)_)========D~~~~~~

Before I bought this game I had already watched a someone play it, but for once I wanted to give it a try and why not a resident evil game. I had thought the story was amazing in resident evil 7 and 8. This game works so well on a Mac book only thing that I don’t like is how much battery it takes but that can be my issue with my Mac. Overall you should definitely get it I love this game.

This game is a modern classic and it runs amazingly well on Mac. This game is an experience… gorgeous graphics and amazing voice acting and environments and it all just comes together in a wonderful polished package. I just wish they ported VR too.

  • Spooky

I’m not a fan of this genre of game (zombie type). But the game was on sale so I thought why not try it out. This was a fantastically impressive game and the pacing of the “zombies” was not overwhelming. It gave lots of time to explore and get the feel of the spooky environment without always being attacked around every corner haha. The story and the graphics were 5 star. This game runs smoother than most games I’ve played on my Mac mini M2 8GB RAM. I played 1440p Resolution and up to 120 fps buttery smooth! The sound design was also amazing. I’m really impressed! Good job Capcom!
  • Great Mac Port of an Modern RE Classic

I remember the hype surrounding this title back when it first released on PC and loving it on day one. However, whether I was running it on Windows, which was buggy and resulted in crashes, or on Linux via Proton, which resulted in a few graphical and audio glitches, the experience always felt… unpolished. After buying and playing through halfway of the MacOS port, I can confirm this is the single best RE Village experience I’ve ever had. My M4 Mac mini handle’s this thing with ease, averaging around 70 fps on max graphical settings, with an ultra wide 2560x1080 display. Fantastic work both Apple and Capcom - here’s to hoping more games to the Mac!

  • Plz add 16:10 display support

This is an amazing game overall — great visuals, atmosphere, and gameplay. However, I really hope Capcom adds support for 16:10 aspect ratio. Currently, the game is locked to 16:9, which results in thick black bars at the top and bottom of the screen on MacBooks. This breaks the immersion a bit, especially since Resident Evil 2, 3 Remake, and 7 all support 16:10 natively. It’s a bit frustrating that only Village and RE4 Remake are restricted like this. Would love to see this fixed in a future update!
  • Mediocre port for mediocre game

The game has barely any post-processing effects and yet even ProMotion can’t smooth out the judders when turning the camera even when the game is locked at 60fps. The TAA is still non-function just like PC version even though the game is basically 4 years old at this point. HDR somehow is worse than PC & consoles version the black level is raised and really messed up the color palette and making the game look washed out compare to how the game look in HDR on other platforms and in SDR. The gameplay is unbalanced and barebones and almost broken at times. Your weapons has damage drop from only 5-6 meters away which the game never let you know at any point in the game and I only notice this when playing the Mercenaries mode when it shows you the amount of damage you dealt, that damage drops applies to the main game as well. Hitboxes are wonky with it’s borders are wider than how it looks physically, which means a slight movement of the enemy like raising an arm can mess up your shots cuz the game thinks you’re hitting the shoulder when you’re clearly aiming at the head. The hit reg of enemies attacks are also broken, their grab attacks which can be a mauling that damage you, depends on the terrain of where you stand can mess up the damage registration causes you move in and out of the hit reg zone mid attacks causing the game to think you being it twice and you ended up taking double damage from one attack. The game also cancel your attacks if there’s an enemy in front of you has started their attack animation even though your hip shot animation take less than half of the time the animation of enemy’s attacks and the same goes for your blocking ability so you’re basically being forced to take a damage when that happens. Honestly even indie games can do better than this at the combat. The problems above is enough to ruin my experience already and that’s before I count in the utterly terrible writing which is conflicting with Resident Evil 7, conflicting the tones within the game itself makes me feels like the game doesn’t know what it wanted to be, and that the most insulting part is the borderline ripping off contents and assets from other IPs like P.T Silent Hills and especially Frankenstein Army that even the director of the movies has to speak out, that’s such a slap in the face from Capcom to players and fan of the series. I only gave 2 stars because there’s at least one element I enjoy is the exploration and navigating around the map to find treasures which is only a minor part of the game, the rest of the experience feels like a slap in the face.
