    I just went out to grab some LEDs and the brand for the LEDs said I needed to download an app and so, I did and the first thing it pops up is a subscription to just change the colors which is ridiculous p. I’m not paying to just to change colors light of some lights.

    Stupidest money grab to date, you have to subscribe to an app to even use anything it’s stated on the box. Waste of money and disgusting to me to sell something that doesn’t even exist on its own, or come with a remote. Negative stars if I could. I hate it here. Subscribe to turn your light on and off- GET LOST

    Bought a Philips LED bulb in hopes of simply being able to have a cozy, flickering candle effect for my bedroom. Turns out I can’t use said effect, or even turn it off and on, without paying even more money. The ad for the subscription constantly gets shoved in your face while you’re just trying to navigate the app. I don’t even understand why it costs money in the first place, considering that the Philips Hue and Apple Home apps cost absolutely nothing, with all the same features. For whatever reason, I can’t use the Philips bulb in the Philips hue app, forcing me to use this one, and the entirety of it just feels very scummy.

    Going to return. I’ve never had to pay a subscription to change the color of my lights, dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of when I paid $33 for this. Complete scam and waste of money!!!

    This is a third party app. It’s very demanding of a subscription. You’re better off to download the actual Govee app.

    I just bought LED lights with my birthday money and I bought this app for my lights and it started begging me to buy a subscription and it told me to connect to it and I tried a million times and still it did not work at all. I regret getting this app.
