  • Clunky as hell

Slow to load, full of bugs. Audio shows like Odd Lots are so full of bugs (skips forward to another show) that i gave up on the content.

I cancelled because they spammed me with email i didnt want or ask for daily and no matter how much i tried to unsubscribe it wouldnt stop. Also the cancellation and live chat support seemed deliberately difficult. I dont even want to unsubscribe I just hate the feeling of being abused as a customer more.

Written articles / materials disappearing, More and more video clips. Soundbites. That’s not what I subscribed for -
  • Paid but can’t read

Paid $100 for the subscription, but apparently it’s not good enough to read articles on this app.
  • Biased

Bloomberg editorial and staff are biased. There is zero focus on journalism and it’s all about broadcasting their political views. It’s distasteful, discouraging, and disrespectful.
  • Completely broken

Every time I launch this app it throws up an error that it’s unable to restore because I purchased it using a different Apple Account (I did not). I subscribed in the app and it won’t let me link to my Bloomberg account and still puts up an error that I’m using the wrong Apple account.
  • Good, but bad streaming audio

The app is fine, but the experience of streaming audio is awful. Too many clicks and once you’re listening, it’s awful having to restart after taking a phone call (if it’s longer than 60 seconds). You cannot just hit play. You have to kill the app, navigate back to audio, then hit play one or two times, listen to a whole new ad, then you’re back.
  • Bloomberg App Review

Bloomberg needs to do a better job with its app, especially with the live media streaming section. The live media section does not work 100% of the time, which is very frustrating when you paid to obtain current market information via its shows (Bloomberg Surveillance, etc.). The app also on occasion unexpectedly quits / freezes. Bloomberg LP should be able to do better.
  • This is a bit of a scam

If you ever buy a subscription and cancel it, you don’t even get the free stream anymore. That’s genuinely underhanded.

    1) it won’t link the account between mobile and desktop - I can only read through the app despite paying for the subscription. 2) the app automatically turns off your music (eg spotify) on apple iPhone whenever you check the Bloomberg app, despite no video playing and no video clicked on on requested. 3) lots of opinionated language all sorts of articles where it literally adds zero to the content. I’m not sure if they think their readers are stupid or if their reporters think it is their job to guide the readers to their personal opinions about things or what. I paid for financial news, I just want relevant facts presented legibly. alas, this was too big of an ask for Bloomberg News apparently.
