  • Last update ruined this app

This used to be my go to navigation app until the last update. The last two times I used it it didn’t work and I had to use Waze instead. Tried to put in a destination address that has been there for forty years, it just froze up. Second time told me to turn right into the wrong shopping center and then led me around in circles and told me I was at my destination when I wasn’t. I don’t know what you guys did to this app, I’ll be looking for alternatives.
  • Please revert back to the old Mapquest

This is awful and is now just a google map clone. User interface is cartoonish and not intuitive. Old features are lost to me. Trip planning is non existent. Ease of changing routes before starting is gone. Popups have taken over.

The new version is awful. It forces you to pay a subscription to get rid of all the annoying pop up ads. I greatly prefer the old, FREE version. It was accurate and easy to use. I don’t need to play games, I just want to get to unfamiliar locations.

I could see this app becoming the next WAZE, of course one that isn’t Google. However, it’s in the early stages still and needs some more polish and features. I even wouldn’t mind paying the extra to remove the ads and support the product if it provided a few more modern features and fixed the issue of the traversed line not disappearing during navigation on CarPlay. I’m really excited for this app, but it’s needs more features to keep people from giving up and resorting to Google Maps. (By more features, I don’t mean an AI chatbot or AI bloat in general). Great job Map Quest! Please keep going!

As the title implies, I went looking for a sensible navigation app that used the proper name for things like the Gulf of Mexico and found that MapQuest was still around and they hadn't lost their mind. I was so happy that I signed up for the paid version. Haven't needed it just yet, but tested it and can say that the new voice is a big improvement as is CarPlay integration. Without the latter, switching to MapQuest wouldn't have been possible. I'd give it 5 stars if you could download maps for offline use. EV range and charging would also be great. A good nav alternative that hasn't gone insane! Thanks, MapQuest!

  • Mapquest is back? With ads

Decided to see what it was all about. Always looking for an improved gps. Completed the few steps to add my home address and see how the ui looks and feels. Not bad. Them stopped the route and immediately was hit with two ads that had to be closed out of before I could proceed.. way to totally drop the ball. Good riddance to Mapquest, and still irrelevant.
