  • App Update Glitch

    I pay for the app to stream live news. I have the app on my phone & smart TVs. Since updating the app to the most recent update app crashes whenever I open it on the TV. In order to open the app I have to delete it and redownload. Super frustrating, please fix this problem cause I paid for a year subscription. And while you’re at it please find the fix that doesn’t make me login every time I want to live stream from the app that’s also annoying.

    App constantly sends notifs of news articles, and literally every single time you click on them it stops you from reading the article unless you sign up for a paid subscription 👎 useless. News is in thousands of places online, why would I pay you for what's free across the entire internet

    Now you click on an article and it basically tells you that you have to pay to view it. It’s the ONLY news app I know that does that. Because of that, I’ll just delete it and get my news elsewhere

    I had this app since their was an app. CNN was also my browser landing page. I watched the world unfold with CNN when on the road, at home, at play. Seeing now that my free articles have been used up infuriated me, you have been removed. If you can’t monetize traffic with banner placements and instead look to milk revenue from loyal viewers directly then you are finished. The future of CNN is already doomed via acquisition by MAGA so I won’t be watching or reading as you slip into the far right rhetoric and start regurgitating the same Fox talking points. Goodbye CNN, hate to see you go

    I’m now a subscriber and I’m satisfied with the service on my TV and devices. A few things really irk me though. The app: Having to sign in every darned day is really irritating. Streaming: I expected the same programming as you get on regular TV but apparently that’s not the case. Some of the programming is different. Why? I hate having CNN headline news shoved in the middle of programming twice a day. I turn to another app when that comes on. One the whole though, I am enjoying the programming I do watch.

    Unfortunately, now, unless you want to pay for it, it’s basically useless. The first article I clicked on says. “ you’ve reached your limit of free articles.”

    After years of using this app, I’m getting lost. However, I decided to pay for the NYTimes. I don’t believe this CNN app is at a level worth paying for, and the NYTimes is.
