  • Free speech

The WaPo has forgot what free speech is in regards to commenting on articles in the paper. I guess that is what happens when you must conform the the Trump administration so you can get more funds for your own profits...right, Bezos? The paper has now conformed to be a right-winged monitored paper that will hopefully change back to it's original form with the next administration. But I guess Jeff has to put fuel in his yacht somehow.

In an era where our government actively acts free speech there's nothing more important than an independent platform that's not afraid to report the truth.
  • WAPO has lost its way

Post Republican/MAGA bias has reduced my use of the post as a paper of record. It is no longer a fully credible reporter of fact based news.

Excellent & timely reporting - largely free of bias. Great political investigative pursuit! Challenges current costly war expenditures in Iran and Middle East by President Trump.

Tragic and beautifully written essay on three Muslim heroes who lost their lives defending their community. I am so horrified so sad for their loss and the suffering and their tragic loss in their community. These men were humanitarians. They are the best of what we can aspire to as humans.
  • From top quality over decades to…

I've been following The Washington Post since the 1980s feeling it was one of the more objective and comprehensive newspapers covering national and international news. The political changes related to ownership are visible in the coverage of the newspaper. And I've come to rely on other papers for better quality news. I was willing to pay mail for the distance my newspaper bas had to travel in the last decades. Now I'm no longer sure where to go. I also follow news online in which case I see several sites. but I do very much enjoy the slower reading on the actual paper. I just can't rely on Washington Post anymore despite the top quality riders employed there. They change an ownership forced to dive in my esteem.

The opinion editorial pages have turned to garbage. I hope they monitor how often their editorials get read. I have one to stop reading them. I won’t even click on them. Parrots of the administration. Go news team.

Is difficult to reconcile the schism between the integrity of the reporting and the bias of the editorial page.

Local and Baltimore coverage saves our 50 year plus paper delivery subscription. I scan opinions and news columns then turn to online subscriptions at NYT, New Yorker and The Atlantic for accurate and quality national and foreign news.

I play the crossword everyday - sometimes when I try to hit the “a” key, it exits out of the puzzle and I need to watch the 15 sec ad again. What am I pressing that is exiting me out of the puzzle?? It is frustrating — and please fix the keyboard to have the keys slightly misaligned like all other keyboards instead of stacking the top two rows. Why invent a slightly different way of displaying the keyboard which only contributes to unintentional typos? Is this part of the “puzzle”?? And I liked the old “on the record” format. It was easier to jump to and read the article than the current iteration
