    I have been a happy member of audible for many years even tho you guys used to only give us one book—I made it work but if you guys honestly think that people want to listen to AI virtual voice for a narrator then you guys are on something! Why would I want an AI narrator that gives me NO nuance, NO emotion and NO connection to the story—it’s literally like listening to a lecture. Like I am seriously going to leave if it becomes the norm!! I’m disappointed too because you would think that an app that’s about reading you a story would understand that YOU CAN’T HAVE a ROBOT READ you a book!!!!

    Keeps redirecting me to the web. Will not be buying books from Audible in tell this is fixed. Also I can’t even look at books in the app without the app freezing and restarting!!! So Lame!!! Updated app and review. Still sucks!!!!! And I have a iPhone 17 pro max latest update Still freezes all the time this is bs!!!! And one more thing get rid of the A.I. slop. It is turning audible in to a swamp instead of a library. Update review 6/5/26 Still continues to freeze constantly I’ve logged out and backing multiple times. I’ve deleted app and reinstalled multiple times. What a pile of garbage this app is and so is audible!!!!!!!! I will continue to give you guys 1 star after every update in tell this is fixed. Have a good day. New update 6/11/26 Still freezing

    If I WANTED to sign up for your obnoxious and mailbox flooding news, I would take the freaking initiative and sign myself up. I do NOT need an excessively obnoxious and invasive popup asking me if I want to ‘opt in’ every freaking time I want to listen to the audiobooks I’ve purchased!!!! STOP!!! Just please for the sake of my sanity! STOP!!! Because if this doesn’t stop not only will I finish downloading all of my purchases and cancel my 6+ year membership, but I will switch to a different player and constantly tell everyone I meet how awful this annoying app is!!!

    Waited years for Amazon to fix it and Finally just got fed up. Don’t really care for everyone to see what Im listening to. If I’m studying or listening to escape fiction I’d prefer not to have it on my lock screen. Looking for an alternative app at this point.

  • Scientific proof Christianity is ruining evolution and women’s lives

    I bought Eve expecting a fascinating exploration of female evolution, reproduction, menopause, pair bonding, and the biological realities that shaped women over thousands of years. Instead, somewhere along the way, the book seemed to become an extended argument about why Christianity, monogamy, and traditional social structures are responsible for many of humanity’s problems. I don’t mind reading viewpoints I disagree with. What frustrated me was the inconsistency. The author frequently invokes evolutionary arguments when criticizing religion and traditional gender roles, but appears far less interested in applying the same scrutiny to modern cultural trends that are also affecting fertility, family formation, and child outcomes. The science was interesting when it appeared. Unfortunately, it often felt like a vehicle for a political and ideological message that became increasingly difficult to ignore. I eventually stopped reading. Not because I disagreed with the conclusions, but because the book I was promised and the book I was actually reading turned out to be two very different things. If you’re looking for a balanced examination of women’s evolutionary history, this may not be it. If you’re looking for evolutionary biology filtered through a contemporary feminist critique of religion and traditional social norms, you’ll probably enjoy it more than I did.
