    Tried booking an entire house on Airbnb for Memorial Day weekend for a family trip with my fiancé, mother, and grandmother. I uploaded my photo verification and got denied for “unauthorized or disruptive party” concerns. Customer service then told me my appeal was denied because of my age and because it was a weekend booking… even though I’m 23 years old and traveling with family, including my grandmother. What makes it more frustrating is that my mother booked the exact same stay right after and was approved immediately. The customer service representative even suggested I “book a hotel instead.” Very disappointing experience and it honestly felt unfair to be judged based on age rather than the actual situation.

    I’ll put it back. Never, ever again. Bed bugs and a home owner that refused to acknowledge, then lied and said he had a cleaning crew. Meanwhile dead bed bugs, filthy floors, missing blinds on all but 2 windows, burnt coffee in the coffee maker, no dishes, mismatch silverware, front window wouldn’t close completely. Train wreck homeowners and even worse business. Hope this company continues to tank.

    So, basically we stayed with the worst ‘host’ I’ve ever dealt with. Tried to force a mid stay cleaning on us when nothing was noted prior. Was always on the property being nosy and invading our privacy Zero sense of privacy whatsoever. Then we get the false and defamatory review since we declined the surprise cleaning. I will *never* use AirBNB again, nor do I recommend it to anyone. They’ve let this dishonest host post defamatory reviews and refuse to take it down when my walk through videos show we left the place clean. Their ‘support’ is a joke. Book with literally any other service.

    Tried booking an airbnb for literally 3 adults, and immediately after tried requesting the booking it assumed I was having an unauthorized gathering. Mind you there was no need for them to assume this cause literally how????
  • Poor support team

    My past experiences with airbnb was fine until recently when I attempted to make reservations and it would not let me reserve numerous times even when I have attempted to use different cards (yes the cards have sufficient funds and we did check to make sure the informations of our payment details were correct) and additionally it flagged our reasoning for reservation for suspicion of party and open gatherings, even though the reservation consisted of only two guests including me. Although I received a full refund, when I attempted to resolve this issue with the support team to ask the reasoning for these issues, all I received was slow responses, and a ten day suspension (meaning I was not allowed to make reservations for ten days) even though this was not our fault, especially since we are well aware of the policies and guidelines. This has been a frustrating experience and we felt as if it was unfair.

  • Sharp deterioration in host support

    I have been a super host for more than 8 years. Recently when dealing with a genuine issue, it is becoming impossible to get it resolved: Airbnb support has just become an AI bot and it is almost impossible to have access to a real customer service manager to resolve matters when the bot cannot tackle it. Even if you ask to speak to a real person, it is not facilitated by the AI bot: you just get transferred to another bot with no intent to find a solution but just to close the case. I am at a point now to rethink using Airbnb as I am losing trust that there is any form of real customer management left. It is a huge concern as issues inevitably come up and if we cannot work on them to resolve them with Airbnb then how is that sustainable? I take the time to write this review in the hope it is read and considered by management at Airbnb. They need to know that there is a massive growing issue in their customer support level for hosts.

    Bro, why did yall do away with the Omg!, Lake house, Oceanside, blah blah blah go?? It’s been gone for awhile but I hoped it would be back by now. The Categories literally is what set y’all apart from the others. Sometime I don’t know where I want to go. Sometimes I want to go to the lake. 100% of the time I don’t care where I go I just need a house and water not close to home. I go on the app and get irritated about it every time and just go to VRBO or VACASA. At least they have kept it the same and not taken a step back!! Worst decision ever!! I’m sure someone got mad and complained that their basic house wasn’t being seen. It’s whatever and I hope y’all made some good money off of it. I know you’ve definitely lost a lot.
