  • Best earthquake app ever.

Have had Quakefeed for over five years, and am highly impressed with how much I’ve learned from it. Almost everyone one I’ve shown it to downloads it after they see its functionality and quite unique and stunning (spinnable) global plate boundary presentation. Am retired, currently in Japan. Earthquakes are so common here, often weekly, that the Japanese are constantly using earthquake apps for safety alerts. Yet none offer the global visualization and context like on Quakefeed. When I show it to them on my phone, they are always so impressed with its unique graphics and utility that they invariably download it. Earthquake sensors are globally connected now, so details (magnitude, depth, etc.) are immediately posted. Optional alerts allow users to be notified of quakes (and aftershocks) as they happen, long before the news reports on it. Tsunami forecasts included as well. The app is free with tiny ads, or a few dollars annually. Yeah, am a huge fan. ☺️💪

I love all the cool map layers and basemaps and other features that no other earthquake apps have. Wildfires are also really helpful here in California
  • When Happened to the UI?

I gave this app four stars and high praise in my previous review. I hadn’t used it for a while and it’s no longer intuitive. Navigating is not intuitive and I could do without the jokes and banter. Just tell me about the updates and let me get back to using the app. I have loved ones in an earthquake-affected area, and I need info ASAP.

I enjoy this app a lot I live in California and of course I am always checking what’s going on in my area. But I also really enjoy seeing the updates on the quakes worldwide !

Best earthquake and tsunami app, especially if you live on the U.S. West Coat. I’ve had it for years.

STILL HAVING THE SAME ISSUE! THIS IS ON A FLAGSHIP PHONE, A 15 PRO MAX. I KEEP GETTING AUDIBLE ALERTS BUT THEY DON'T SHOW UP ON THE RECENTS LIST. ALSO WHEN I TYPED MY QUESTION AND HIT THE SEND BUTTON IT WILL NOT SEND MY QUESTION TO THE SUPPORT STAFF. Often when I get an alert, in fact almost every time when I tap to open the app, even though I'm tapping on a notification when it opens it opens to an alert telling me there's nothing that matches my search criteria. HELLO! I tapped on a notification, I DIDN'T run a search. RJBINAK

The QuakeFeed is color-coded and easy to read. There’s a lot of clickable info at fingertip. The maps allow you to see the big picture and understand the flow of energy through the plates.
