  • Suicidal update

    1

The new format has completely destroyed any semblance of a functional app. A complex maze which one cannot find anything. What was the use of changing the layout? And then removing once free features in order to lock behind a paywall is completely erasing any desire for using this app. Did they forget what Jesus told the Jewish moneylenders in the temple?

I use this app mostly for listening to the Bible. The update really seems to have messed up that Experience. There is no longer a media player on my lock screen when I listen to the Bible. In addition, it does not show up in my “now playing” for Apple CarPlay or Apple Watch. Also, the audio skips back-and-forth, especially at the completion of the book.

This major redesign is truly disappointing. While early versions of the app were without question the best of all Bible apps, it went downwards over the years. I lost all my notes, with this latest release have lost all my highlights—several hundred. On top of that, this app has lost its best feature the reading view. Different font and just plain text.

Ever since a recent update I cannot listen to the app without listening to a music app playing in the background. I’ve had this app for several years and didn’t have this problem.
  • Difficult to use for searching

Prior to this most recent update, the user could isolate a search to the Old Testament or the New Testament or to a particular book of the Bible. No longer is this the case, which makes searching for a verse by a particular word onerous and difficult. Please renew the ability to find a word easily again. This is a vital tool while researching scripture. I don’t know about software programming, but this aspect of using your site is a HUGE loss.

Using ad walls to get people to buy a SUBSCRIPTION to read scripture is pretty shameful…
  • The audio Bible feature is weird now

The update ruin kinda the audio feature. Before the audio would respond to commands on the phone. If music was playing the Bible would stop playing or if you set a timer for it to stop playing it would stop playing, but now it just blazes through all those and plays continuously whether or not you have a timer or phone call comes in.Unfortunately, the timer in the app doesn’t work either. It’s kind of a bummer cause this was my favorite Bible app to play audio. I hope they fix it soon.

Y’all ruined it. Why’d y’all have to change everything? It was so good and easy to use. If I could choose I would undo the update.
  • Fix the audio loop

Instead of continuing onto the next book of the Bible, the audio just loops back around to the beginning again. So instead of Matthew-mark. It’s just Matthew-matthew-matthew-etc. please fix
  • They’ve Changed to much!

I have been using this app for years and years! But it’s changed so much in the last year or two that I can no longer use it for my verse for the day. It’s very difficult to navigate and will not switch to different verses easily. It wants to stay on the same verses and if you copy to paste, it will take all your previous clipboard copies and paste them too! Not user-friendly, looking for another app… not to mention, they added commercials that are a pain, you have to wait to exit out of each one of them. Not good!
