The September 2024 update has made the app nearly useless.
  • E-Paper vs Globe App

What a cluster. Purchased the epaper (apparently) on iPad yesterday. Had the full app on iPhone. iPhone said no subscription. Why in gods name are two apps with same name in store. Why does company not recognize a purchase on one as a purchase of paper in either version? Waste of 90 minutes search for solution with Apple Support.
  • A downgrade

I often find it difficult to access the Globe as I cannot make the previous day’s addition disappear. That was not a problem with the previous iteration of this app. Needs to be fixed.
  • Not a good as the old globe App

A few days after I stopped being able to open the globe app on my old iPad I contacted support and was advised that they were phasing out the globe app and I would have to use the e paper. I’m not impressed… pages often won’t slide over, sometimes they are blank. It’s glitchy, there is a little page icon blocking part of the articles. Why did you have to fix it… It wasn’t broken, actually compared to the Globe app that I gave up on in disgust 15 ? Years ago it was excellent (it would miss a few things but not crashing was a plus).

You can’t load the current edition without closing and reopening the app. The close button doesn’t work (iPad). The app support button in the App Store goes nowhere.

ePaper looks terrific and works seamlessly. It’s like reading the physical paper — but much quicker.
  • You are idiots

Disgraceful app. If you are older, this app is unworkable. Worse it is not handicap accessible. Shame on the Globe. You get your money every month but you shut the app off to people who pay. You steal from the elderly.

We switched to the digital Globe a few years ago and are very happy. So convenient to be able to read the Globe anywhere. And downloading editions is a great feature. Highly recommended!

Not perfect but the best newspaper e-reader I have found so far
  • Getting Very Tired of its Problems

All too often the editions get screwed up— missing sections, no edition at all, headlines and bylines mixed in with metadata from the editing software, etc. It’s clear that there is no-one doing basic quality control.
