Description

The world’s No. 1 baby app! Understand why your baby cries more at certain times, isn't himself or herself and... what you can do to help. During our research, which began in 1971 with Jane Goodall and the chimpanzees in Tanzania, we discovered that babies are more prone to cry and to be clingy or cranky from time to time. This behavior was shown to be related to a leap in the baby's mental development. More specifically, babies go through 10 mental leaps in the first 20 months of their life. A leap may be tough, but it's a positive thing: it gives your baby the opportunity to learn something new. Use The Wonder Weeks app to: - See when a leap starts and ends thanks to a personalized leap schedule - Be automatically notified when a leap is about to start - Learn to recognize the leaps based on the various signals your baby gives - Discover the new skills your baby develops with each leap - Stimulate your baby's new skills with 77 playtime games - Keep track of your baby's development in your personal diary - Link the app to your partner's app to keep track of your baby's developments together - Share your experiences and ask questions in the forum - Watch fun and interesting videos about parenting - Complete fun polls and find out what other parents think about certain topics Our mission is to help parents gain confidence in the face of the greatest leap in life: having a baby. We take a candid look at parenting, shed light on all sides and are there for all parents. We can all help each other and learn from each other. Millions of parents before you have already followed, supported and stimulated the 10 leaps in the mental development of their babies. It's not a coincidence that we have been one of the best-selling baby apps worldwide for many years! Disclaimer: This app has been developed with utmost care. Update: adding some stars after experiencing great customer service support to address my issues with the app. ——— Major regrets in purchasing this. Several parents recommended it and in a fog of new parent delirium I paid for a subscription. It “predicts” fussy episodes BUT with a 1-2 week window… that is not useful at all. I understand that it can’t be an exact science, but the fussy episodes are so close together that a 1-2 week window is like when people say mercury is in retrograde - it always is if you feel like it is. Also, the content itself is faulty: I tried watching the videos of sounds the baby is making at her current stage and they have background music playing over it loudly so you can’t hear anything the baby is doing. I would laugh if I hadn’t wasted $34.99 that could go to our diaper fund. Also, the text of the videos describes it as a mom interacting with her baby. The video shows a bearded man, perhaps the dad. I would love it if this app was progressive enough to have such non-binary representation but the more likely answer is that these developers havent reviewed their content for accuracy or proofread anything in years. If you want to know what development your baby is in that week, google it. If you want a great app where you can track your baby’s progress, feedings, etc, use ParentLove.

It’s confusing and I really don’t like it. A friend highly recommended it, but this app is just not helpful. Waste of my money.

I thought it would give me updates every week. But it doesn’t. Only for that leap. Plus it doesn’t tell you when you get a comment from the group chats. I also have a hard time replying. It isn’t as easy as just replying. It hides the reply I am sending and I have to play with the scrolling to make it work.

It’s been helpful knowing what to expect. It has allowed us to prepare for the changes, specially during the fussy phase and does gnarly sleep changes!

I felt lost when I realized my child had colic. However, after speaking to my midwife, it brought me great comfort to know, it wasn’t some vague untreatable thing we had to hold our breath through. Rather, these were developmental leaps that all babies go through and my baby happened to be a high cryer. This was such a huge relief! Using this app allows me to reframe tough moments and track the progress my baby is making. I tell every parent I know about it.

As a first time mom, this app truly created more anxiety for me than it helped me. I found myself worrying when my kiddo wasn’t meeting milestones and turns out, he’s been “late” meeting every single milestone. He’s 2.5 yrs old now and he’s perfectly fine. His normal was “late” according to this app. I wish I could tell my newly postpartum self to not waste your money on this app.
