  • App Issues

I started my subscription when it was Scribd, I have had it for quite some time. Access to good books and no problems. When the app changed over to Everand and started to offer different subscription tiers that is when it all went down hill. Books/Audio files became very limited, it seemed that book offers became shorter time frames than before and more upgrades to the app happened. Now this past week the app started loosing my place in all the books I tried to enjoy. I notified them and did everything they suggested except download to my device. I have never downloaded and never will. I even deleted the app and reinstalled. I notified them again today, once again they offered the same steps and I told them all that I have done to fix the issue. When I told them I would cancel my subscription they offered to help me with that immediately. Never once did they take the blame on their end and was ok with me leaving.
  • pretty glitchy, but otherwise perfect!

the only issue i continuously run into is the app crashing and losing my book progress (bookmarks galore) as well as logging me out and having me log back in 3x a day. But other than those software issues the app is fantastic and i love having an alternative to spotify audiobooks! the unlocking system, while annoying, also allows me to not boi c between books and really focus on what the author wants to say.

Everand’s app on occasion will drop your place on your audiobook. Good luck spending an hour to find your place again multiple times.
  • Very glitchy lately

I’ve been using the app for years… I wasn’t happy when the plans changed and it restricted how many monthly options I had but fine. But the past week it has been very glitchy, sometimes I have to restart the app multiple times before my stuff loads, and it keeps restarting my book every other time I go into it. Very frustrating.
  • I miss unlimited.

Used to be able to listen to as many titles as I want for a fee. Now I can only “unlock” one a month. LAME.
  • You do not own the books you unlock! This is a rental app!

Save yourself the money and rent your books for free on Libby! Everand advertises themself as being better than audible because you get three books a month Vs. one but if you cancel audible membership you still listen to your books. With Everand you loose access to everything you have paid money to “unlock” for years. Also this app constantly glitches causing you to lose your place in your audio books over and over so if it’s important to you to not spoil your book trying to find your spot don’t use Everand!
  • Avoid! Awful!

I need an audiobook company with a functional app and good customer service. This is not it! I downloaded what it said was an audiobook, but it's an ebook. I've been in AI chatbot hell for 20 hours with no resolution. There is no ticket movement. They send me login codes that do not work. Also, their radio ad in 06/2026 says you get two free audiobooks when you sign up as a new customer. That is not true. They only give one. Avoid avoid avoid. Edit: after several days, the company exchanged the ebook for the audiobook. Two customer service folks suggested a code was req'd for the promo, but I went back and listened to the ad several times, and there is no promo code. It just says new customers get two free books for "a limited time," but provides no expiration date.
  • So disappointing now. Used to be my favorite app

I’m a long time subscriber- over 10 years. Used it every day and loved it. I tried the new subscription model with an open mind. But every time I’d start a book the next day it was locked. This was true time after time. Books go in and out of being available seemingly randomly. It’s so confusing. I’m already paying nearly $100/yr but that isn’t enough - I have to pay more to unlock? Sorry, but no.

I used to use this app before and after the Scribd transition. The new unlock system limits the user and reduces the value. I will no longer use the app unless the something changes.
  • Rip off! Use Audible instead!

You lose access to books you purchased when you stop your subscription. I had a number of books that I had not finished. I have to pay to pay again to access them. Audible allows continuing access to books even when not subscribed.
