  • Another one bites the dust!

Like most apps on the iOS platform this one has become unusable. The drive to monetise and track usage and personal data is slowing killing the App Store. Not sure it is such a bad thing, maybe it will open the way for a real competitor to Apple…
  • Worse after update

This app was so much better before the most recent update. Now it’s terrible and almost unusable. Usually updates mean improvements. Not so with this one. I guess I’ll be looking for another one.
  • Legalese now dominates

We used this app for years with no problems, to track ships passing through Death’s Door Wisconsin where we have a cabin. It was simple and informative. Latest update requires that you create an account, agree to pages of terms, agree to share data, etc. Then the app itself is cluttered and hard to use. You used to view everything about the vessel you’re tracking through intuitive popups on the map, but now you have tabs and menus to puzzle through.
  • Redesign is awful

Useful app, but the interface was destroyed with the major update. Far less intuitive. Very frustrating.

Used to be an incredibly decent app until the most recent update. Now it’s completely unusable. Shame on the greedy developers.

Used to be simple, amazing app. Now basically useless. Someone should be fired for this re-design.
  • The worst update ever!

This is not just the worst update of the MarineTraffic app, it is the worst change of any app that I’ve witnessed ever! You’ve ruined a beautiful and perfectly working app! Bring back the old version!!! It is not the best tracking app any more.

The new update is terrible. You can’t click on vessels for their information. Either a nearby vessel pops up or the circle doesn’t appear. The colors are all wrong, I seem to get the land and water mixed up. I can’t find all the information that the old version had. Hate the new “update”.
