  • Couldn’t get the program I wanted

I saw an ad for noon, offering a program for aging and metabolism. I thought I’d give it a try, since I’m post menopause and could use some guidance. I went through the process and downloaded the app. The program they gave me was diabetes prevention. I don’t have any close relatives with diabetes, my blood work is always in the healthy range, and I had a continuous glucose monitor and I was fine. No signs of prediabetes. Contacted Support and let them know all this and asked for the program I thought I signed up for. The agent told me “ the specific course you mentioned isn’t included in your version of the app.” But it’s the one I clicked on, so I don’t understand why not. All this to say, I am deleting the app and looking elsewhere. Be true to your advertising. If you’re advertising a program and someone clicks on that link, give them that freaking program, not something else.
  • Unreliable prescription refills

Pros: the curriculum is genuinely helpful. Cons: the prescription refills are unreliable. If they arrive late you get the run around.
  • One annoyance

In general I love this app. One thing that makes me crazy and I’m hoping the developers will consider. When I go to log a meal it’s too many clicks, and I have to move my thumb from bottom of screen to top of screen and back to bottom of screen. I search and find the food and then click an add button towards the bottom of the screen. Then I have to maneuver my hand so I can click done at the top of the screen. Then I have to re-maneuver my hand to click log at the bottom, and then ANOTHER click at the bottom to get back to the main screen. Could all the buttons be in the same area (preferably bottom) so I can rapid tap three times to be done, or maybe an “I don’t care, make it so” tap that skips all the middle screens and just logs it and returns me to the main screen?
  • App needs improvement

The app could be easier to use if you copy food entries from day to day. Sometimes we eat the same breakfast or lunch everyday and it’s tedious to look up each time. Also the app stalls when first opened. I have to swipe up to close then reopen for it to open correctly.

Maybe it’s my Wi-Fi, but my account usually won’t load. It spins for several minutes and then I give up. I have a friend who had great success with noom a few years ago, so I’m wondering if there’s too many people using the app now. Anyhoo…apparently noom is not for me. I hope it works for you.

  • App won’t open without coaxing

Not sure which update caused this bug but the app just shimmers when it’s opened. This behavior has been in place for over two weeks now and has caused me to miss logging because of time constraints. I typically have to try opening the app a few times before it’ll actually open. Not sure if it’s the bundle size, a race condition, or a server issue. And before someone responds asking me to take the extra step of contacting another support channel, I’ll say this: I’m a software engineer. I have to test my code on several devices and operating systems as part of my job. I see there are a few reviews mentioning this problem. At this point, just do the work of testing out the app on all supported iPhones ( I believe iPhone 8 is still supported). Test it against the version that worked prior to customers reporting this issue.
