My Cellar Manager

By Gthjr
It’s not like I have an extensive cellar, but I have enough bottles that I couldn’t keep track of what I have without writing down dates and drinking windows and other information in a notebook. Even then I couldn’t sort or seek. This tells me everything I need to know in a compact, portable, and digital form. I love the convenience but also being able to access the community for their thoughts on a wine.
My Cellar Has Come Alive

The insights I now have about my collection (at my fingertips no less) escaped me for decades. I’m especially grateful for the Drinkability Index and what wines I need to drink NOW. The app is also prompting me to evaluate each wine more thoroughly when I open a bottle to keep private tasting notes and sometimes offer a public review.

I have used Cellar Tracker for years and I really appreciate all the features it has developed. Cellar Tracker makes it easy for me to organize and maintain my cellar.

CellarTracker is easy to use, once you have logged in all of your existing wine. That process can be a chore, but there are helpful tips for doing it. Tips not so helpful if you have older and obscure European wines.
Not only does C/T keep track of your wine and its location, also gives you reviews and information that other users have downloaded.
I’ll never go back to the Excel Spreadsheet I was using before.
Caution! It’s only as good as the User. Remember to log in new purchases and more importantly, remove the ones you drank.
AI summaries are a game changer

The new updates have been amazing!! I always loved getting the email updates with the AI summaries but it was not available in the app. Now that it has been rolled out to every wine, I’m having a blast going through and reading the summaries of each wine. Great job CT team!
Keeping your Cellar on Track!

Long time member …the size of a cellar over time is elusive. You start out thinking 100 bottles is a lot. You can literally see all of it. Eventually you wish you had started logging bottles in the data base from the start. That this is a communal data base, making entry so simple, with scores, reviews, your favorite critic reviews! Friends’ reviews, comments from certain winemakers…. Wouldn’t dream of any alternative! Now that everything is finally in racks, now to data entry locations… a lot of them!

Great app. Don’t know where we would be with our modest wine collection if we didn’t have CellarTracker to keep track of location, quality and quantity of wine stored. I used this app for 17 years and highly recommend it.
UX Update Fail

Add back the vintage blocks when you first search a wine. New interface is much slower bc you have to click in to select vintage

One of the worst updates for a phone from the users POV. Thank god they added the search bar back to the top of the app.
When you search a wine, the small vintage blocks are gone. Bring those back. Also, when you click into a wine, you’re now given “Popular Vintages”. Who asked for this?! This appeals to a much smaller audience than, say, “Recent Vintages”. The UI for vintages was so much better before, please revert back…please.
Camera disoriented on iPad

By Mthornh
The app works better on iPad than it used to, but the camera does not orient correctly in landscape mode, so I have to turn the bottle sideways, and try to move it to get it in view, which is tricky.
Also I wish after adding a bottle there was a quick way to get back to either adding another bottle or the Home Screen, instead of back back back.
This is why I still usually use the old version…
