Description

Find the best saltwater fishing spots in seconds! Smart Fishing Spots is the only app built exclusively for inshore saltwater anglers that takes all of the guesswork out of finding species such as redfish, speckled trout, snook, and flounder. FIND THE BEST SALTWATER FISHING SPOTS With map layers such as oyster beds, seagrass, 1ft contour lines, 3D underwater topography, and our proprietary "Smart Spots" layer, you'll catch more fish faster than you ever imagined. This saltwater fishing app has everything you need to plan your trip from tides to weather to fish activity. It uses a blend of artificial intelligence combined with human intelligence to predict exactly where the feeding fish will be in your area for any given day, tide, and time of day. SMART FISHING TIDES This app also comes standard with our proprietary Smart Fishing Tides tool. This tide tool predicts the best day and time of day to go fishing in any area with crazy accuracy (up to 14 days)! Our strike score gives you a daily score between 1 and 10 so you know which days will have the best bite in your area. SALTWATER FISHING MAPS Smart Fishing Spots uses multiple layers of mapping to give you enhanced views compared to normal satellite maps. Our mapping features also enable you to create routes and export them to any fish finder unit. SALTWATER FISHING FORECASTS You'll always be armed with the best forecast for your area (including fishing forecasts and weather forecasts). • Don’t bother. Not free or worth the money.

$100 a year or $12.99 a month. Doesn’t do anything for you. Downloaded the Simrad or Garmin if you want good stuff. Simrad is $39.99 a year and it gives you everything. This app signs me out each time and makes me reset password every time I try to sign back in. Garbage.
  • Satellite images don’t load

This app was great, but now there are weekly updates to improve tracking or other issues, but they refuse to fix the biggest issue which is the google earth layer not loading. I’ve quit using the app for most searches and now just go straight to Google Earth. It’s faster and cheaper
  • I want to like this app

This app is pretty much unusable. I have an iPhone 17 and high speed internet but these maps will not populate at a reasonable rate. Even when I adjust settings to reduce information. It also superheats your phone and drains battery at a ridiculous rate. I’m talking like 1% every minute on the app.

Says bad email address when that is not true. The little circle thing just spins and spins

Every time I open the app, I have to do the tutorial, even though I complete it over and over again.

This is nothing more than money grabbing gimmick. If you don’t know where a good fishing spot would be, pay for one month of this app, take a snap shot of everywhere you might fish, and then cancel it. The alleged “hotspots” apparently never change, despite water temperatures and wind directions changing. Heck, they can’t even tell you where to fish depending on what time of day it is, and believe it or not, that matters. You can get tidal information, predicted and current wind speed/temps from free weather apps. Solunar tables? Easy to find, free, and still not useful if you don’t know how to plug in other info. Need to read “local reports”? Well, I kid you not… there are generic, common sense reports from alleged locals that I’ve never heard of or met and my family has been in this area for many generations. But if you still think that’s useful, just be prepared to learn those reports are on average more than 2 years old. Now think about that. What good is that to you? It ought to be a crime to sell such garbage.

Takes forever to work with or without internet. Useless garbage

This may be good in Fl, but not too impressed with the data offered in VA beach area. Smart spots are pretty generic, the obvious to anybody that fishes spots. And that’s fine. An obvious lack of data point is the layer that shows boat ramps…..the major city boat ramp in Lynhaven that everyone uses for bay access doesn’t even show up, on top of a handful of others I commonly use. Needs some work.

This app is an all in one app for tides, weather, wind, bite score, and many other selectable features Along with the spots were the fish should be. Not there? Go to the next ones. I rarely do not catch fish!

Best $13 I ever spent. After joining Salt Strong I have fished 10 times and caught fish every time out. That did not happen before SS.
