Description

Acme Weather, from the creators of Dark Sky. Our homegrown forecasts help you make better decisions about your day. * Alternate Predictions Weather is unpredictable, and forecasts are often wrong. Instead of a single guess, Acme displays alternate predictions that show you how reliable the forecast is and the range of possible outcomes. * Notifications Never miss important weather again. Acme has notifications for precipitation, severe weather, lighting, daily summaries, and more. Want to know if it'll be windy or if the UV index will be high? Create custom notifications for the conditions you care about. * Community Reports There’s nothing more reliable than when someone nearby tells you what’s happening. Acme lets anyone report what they’re seeing, maps it instantly, and alerts you when something’s happening close by. * Beautiful Maps Our maps include real-time radar, snow accumulation, air quality, hurricanes and more. The most relevant map will appear directly in your forecast page for instant context. * Subscription Acme is free to use for two weeks, then requires a $25 USD/year subscription. A Family Sharing subscription is also available for $50 USD/year. * Privacy First - We collect only what’s necessary to provide the service - We don’t store your location history - We don’t sell your data - We don’t use third-party tracking or analytics tools Terms of Use: https://acmeweather.com/terms Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

  • Excellent, except for Family Sharing

I welcome back the dark sky developers and this great app. I think all the early bugs are gone and it’s a joy to use. The only negative is the subscription is not family sharable. Dark Sky was, And it didn’t cost as much….
  • Still waiting for a Mac and iPad native version

Sure, checking the weather on your iPhone is great, but it would be even better if I could check it on my iPad and buy a Mac. Don't see why this is such a difficult thing. In the meantime, I will use another weather app that supports these platforms.
  • Excited then….not

Was really excited the team was back and bought in right away. After using Acme for a while, it just feels too basic for 2026 and I switched back to Carrot. Updates since launch have been slow and fairly arcane. Complications don’t work on round watch faces, and now live updates on the Home Screen. Will check in to see how updates progress and maybe try it again. Good luck to the team and thanks for quick replies to support requests, but falling from first to below 100 on the weather app charts should be telling you something.

The timeline of alternative forecasts is worth trying alone, everything about Acme is thoughtfully done.
  • Love the alternative forecasts

As a day 1 user, I always loved the accuracy and features of Dark Sky, although I was never a fan of its rather dated design. Upon learning they were launching a new weather app, I was very excited to try their new offering with alternative forecasts and Acme Labs experimental features. Although I wasn’t initially a fan of the discerning and rather opinionated design, said sophisticated aesthetic has grown on me over the first couple of months of usage. I’m really enjoying it now, but I would like to see a better implementation of Liquid Glass. I’d also love to see this app optimized for Apple Vision Pro, as no Apple product represents the future more than AVP. I’ve decided to extend beyond the two week trial and see how this app evolves over the next year or two. I just upgraded to the Family Sharing option to further support this beautifully designed app. A premium app deserves premium pricing. The two week free trial is generous, and I find the price to be reasonable for such a premium weather app.

Darksky was more accurate at predicting when it was going to rain
  • Well worth the price

Well worth the price. Just hoping to see an iPad version come soon.
  • Rain is different - make it easier at a glance to see rain

At the end of the day it’s either nice or cold or wet for most of us. Make this easier. Not all weather conditions are equal
  • Not True Family Sharing

Good app and UX. It offers a family subscription but it’s 2X the cost at $50/year. If you are 3 or more, then it makes sense. For 2-person households it’s zero savings unfortunately. Less stars for that alone.
  • Nostalgic Layout bad Apple Watch App

This app reminds me of the OG dark sky days but the Apple Watch feels sluggish and often doesn’t even display accurate information. My iPhone app will show the correct data for the current location while the Apple Watch app will show something completely off (aka all 10 days of data don’t align between my watch and phone). The Apple Watch complications also don’t update frequently enough nor are they colored. The white complication makes it all feel like the Apple Watch app is an afterthought. Wouldn’t recommend the app in its current state.
