    This game is decent, has a great UI/ shares similar features to DBZ legends. However as of now it seems you can only use paid gems to summon new equipment, I have 3500 gems yet the games tell me I don’t have sufficient gems to summon on a 1500 gem cost spawn.

  • Enjoyable, but BAD ‘Gatcha Grind’

    I have been playing Dragon Quest games since I was 11 so I was incredibly excited for this. I had a blast during my first few hours but after a certain point it can feel like you hit a wall in the gameplay if you’re FTP. Since the weapons and armor are the gacha mechanic it gets near impossible to progress at points if you don’t have the appropriate gear. The gameplay mechanics itself can become repetitive quickly especially when trying to grind for more gems (after the novice week is up it’s VERY slow to get more). The events are a great change of pace from the mainline game, and I love the Co-op feature but it can become very disheartening to be unable to move forward just because of bad luck pulling. I would love to be able to keep playing this game and will keep it up for now. I’m hoping these are just growing pains since it’s still so new (I’ve played enough gacha games to know that sometimes it gets better so let’s hope!)

    I don’t write many reviews for apps, but I end up playing a lot of games. This one is great on the surface. The world of dragon quest mixed with all the fun of a bullet heaven (or survivor-like). The issues come pretty quickly after getting into it. First off, and my biggest issue, is the crashing. Finish a level? Good chance the game will crash. Trying multiplayer? Crashes, then you’re stuck with lobotomized versions of the players you matched with. Doing a timed mission? Network error at the end, forcing a restart where you may or may not get the required score. It’s awful, like the game isn’t optimized for the mobile devices it’s available for. Secondly, there’s the in app purchases and premium currency. You need 3000 gems for a 10 pull, but only earn 80 on a level cleared with all challenges cleared. This makes grinding a chore for gear you need to progress. And the price of the premium passes? It’s ridiculously greedy. I cannot recommend it in the state that it’s in.

    It’s good, but falls short of great. I definitely like the style and premise and played since launch…. But I feel myself falling off already. Not entirely fair to this cause I’ve fallen off most mobile games. The levels are much too simple and short, cookie cutter. Walk forward, veer a lil, few fights, few upgrades and a boss. 2-5 min per. It definitely gets more fun when you start maxing Memories and gear and getting skills on start and even more so with some of the gacha weapons. But the gacha…. The rates suck and the stamp cards suck. Having to fill 10 card out should get the item, not 2x10 cards, and all the guaranteed 3 star stamp slots, 2-3 per card, should 100% give something from that banner, not just a random 3 star. They just need to be better and easier. I poured everything I had for 2 weeks F2P, and only got 1 wep and 3 piece of armor, and only 10/20 stamps done. Impossible for a F2P. And that’s not ok. There’s some other cons, like Droney taking way too long for the rewards. Should be 6 or 8 hours. And then a few pros too. All in all it’s decent. 6/10? Worth trying and it does get better, just not a ton. But for my limited minutes and hours I have, I’d rather be on my PC or SD.

    iPhone 15 pro max. 1 gig fiber. Haven’t been able to even try the game. Shows me sign in and says loading on the screen after tap to start, but won’t do anything. Will likely delete without ever having tried the game.

    Game constantly crashes their response is generic and very delayed. Their response is for you to buy the newest iPad available. The game isn’t worth your money and especially your time
