Description

See the Northern Lights with confidence — not by luck. AuroraMe is your aurora borealis tracker combining real-time space weather, cloud coverage, moon phase, and local darkness into clear visibility forecasts. Track locations worldwide on an interactive 3D globe and get notified only when conditions align for actual aurora viewing. 3D GLOBE AURORA MAP See real-time aurora activity across the planet on an interactive globe. Toggle aurora probability heatmap overlay to spot where the lights are dancing now. Switch between dark and NASA satellite night themes. Day/night terminator zones show viewing windows instantly. Tap anywhere on the globe to check aurora probability and add tracking locations. PRECISE PROBABILITY FORECASTS Aurora visibility shown as exact percentage (0-100%) combining NOAA OVATION space weather, KP index, cloud coverage, moon brightness, and darkness. Simple status tells you what's happening: No Activity, Possible, Visible, or Strong. Factor breakdown explains what's helping or blocking your view. SMART AURORA ALERTS Push notifications only when aurora is actually visible at your location — clear skies, dark hours, sufficient geomagnetic activity. Set custom sensitivity thresholds per location. Quiet hours protect your sleep from unwanted alerts. Time-sensitive iOS notifications break through Do Not Disturb for strong aurora storms. 72-HOUR FORECAST Hourly aurora predictions paired with weather data. See cloud percentage, moon phase, darkness windows, and temperature hour-by-hour. Use "Best Time" filter to show only optimal aurora viewing hours. Free users: 24-hour preview. Premium: full 72-hour detailed forecast with extended planning. 27-DAY TREND CALENDAR Daily aurora activity summaries for trip planning. Shows best 6-hour viewing windows per day. Excludes unreliable long-range weather predictions to prevent false hopes. Perfect for planning aurora hunting expeditions and photography trips weeks ahead. AURORA HISTORY (11 YEARS) 11 years of historical statistics from GFZ Potsdam and NOAA data (2015-2025). Best months algorithm shows optimal times to visit any location. Calendar heatmap displays 12 months of aurora intensity patterns. Location-calibrated results: Tromso sees aurora 200 nights/year, Edinburgh only 10 nights/year. FIND NEAREST AURORA Discover active aurora within 2000 km of your location. Distance-first algorithm finds the nearest visible displays for spontaneous aurora chasing. Perfect for road trips when conditions shift unexpectedly. 67,500+ LOCATIONS OFFLINE Search cities across 252 countries with instant offline results. Track unlimited locations with independent notification settings for each. No background GPS tracking — your privacy protected. HOW IT WORKS Four reality factors combined: space weather from NOAA OVATION model + real-time KP index, cloud coverage forecasts, sun altitude and moon illumination, magnetic latitude thresholds. When all factors align during dark hours with clear skies, you get notified. FOR AURORA HUNTERS & PHOTOGRAPHERS Whether in Alaska, Canada, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Scotland, or northern US — avoid wasted drives and cloudy nights. Save viewing spots, set alert sensitivity, let the app monitor conditions 24/7. Photographers get probability data for optimal shooting windows. • Good but one or 3 questions

This is a good app for aroura hunters like me, thank you so much for making this app possible. But the 1-3 questions is when it’s day time I would try to zoom in and it would show dark time but I think all the other apps are like that, but that was the only question. And the app tracks really good🤯 when the aroura was purple and I would go outside and see them. But one little thing I hope you guys will change may you please update the coulds? Please and thank you.

Yesterday there were auroras “from Germany to the Southwest United States”, but app had every score low for Chicago. I doubt I’d have seen it anyway with the light pollution but today (now that it’s over) all the numbers are up. Maybe I’m using it wrong but I don’t think so.
