  • Pointless and terrible

Meal entry is only by photo, then AI analyses it. There doesn’t seem to be any way to change it he entries, either. So if the AI decides that you had a tortilla which likely contains certain ingredients that will cause inflammation and it can’t see inside that tortilla it will assume there are also ingredients inside your burrito that can cause inflammation and it doesn’t matter that you made the tortilla using non-inflammatory ingredients or that all that’s inside it is veggies and eggs. Also you get exactly 1 analysis free. You can delete it or change it. There are no free features to this app.
  • Pictures only?!

This app does not allow for manual entry for meals. It only allows you to take photos of your meal. This is a huge problem and should be fixed for several reasons. If I’m at a restaurant and I’m trying to decide which dish I am going to order, I can’t manually enter the ingredients and get the information I need to inform my decision. Second. Let’s say I made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I take a picture of it. The app has no way to tell if the peanut butter is organic, what type of jelly I used, or what kind of bread I used… Another example; I just took a photo of a salad I made and it marked it with 🔥potentially inflammatory because it can’t determine what dressing I used. It was a spinach, tomato, orange pepper, cucumber salad with EVOO and organic balsamic and cracked black pepper. Third. Because there is no manual entry option, if you forget to log (take a photo of your meal) there is no way to go in later and back log it. This is a huge flaw that should be fixed asap. Especially when you pay $25 per year for the service. The app has potential to be a great (especially if you combined it with some of the features from something like Cronometer, but as it stands is pretty useless. A hybrid of the 2 would be a game changer.
  • Does not account for anti-inflammation

The scoring system is overly simplified and does not account for anti-inflammation. I was looking for a system with a more comprehensive ability to tell between neutral, mildly anti-inflammatory and very anti-inflammatory foods, this did not do that.
