The Missing Brightness Control Hello, I'm the developer of The Missing Brightness Widget. Like me, you were wondering why there wasn't a widget for the Home screen that allows you to adjust brightness? Well, I made it for you (and especially for me hehe). HOWEVER, before you get too excited, read the limitations below: - It's not possible to have sliders in widgets, so these are buttons - It's not possible to do much from a widget, so when you tap, the app launches and it handles the action - It's not possible to change Brightness, Dark Mode or Night Shift from an app, so the app uses Shortcuts (provided) Also, note: when you change brightness it will work for a time, and then auto-brightness will kick out, changing the value for you. If you don't want this, you can turn off auto-brightness in: Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Auto-Brightness So, I'm sorry, it's only a partial victory, but even in this state, I find it useful, and I hope it will work for you too. What we're all waiting for; a native widget to adjust brightness from the Home screen; doesn't exist and can not be done. I would have loved to make it better, but it's not possible. Only Apple can make it.
