    How can you take a great app and destroy it deal with these people did and remake it thinking they made something better. It has zero functionality you can’t auto download anything you have to do everything one by one you can’t try what you want. It’s completely asinine and useless. Absolutely would no longer recommend this app whatever management team decide to make the update should be fired.

    This new app is entirely dependent on connectivity. The old app worked fine, even with limited signal. Once a magazine was downloaded it was there and could be read regardless of connection. It was great the way it was.
  • Useless Search Feature

    The search feature has become completely useless. One of the reasons I preferred the old app was the ability to search for an artist’s name and instantly find every magazine page that mentioned them. Now, the search barely returns any results, and you can’t even search within magazines anymore. If the old search functionality isn’t restored, I will unsubscribe.

    It’s like someone in the company said, “Let’s take every good feature in the old app and make it worse…then wrap it in a bad UI.” When things change this dramatically for the worse, it’s a good time to re-evaluate the subscription. My time with this one is over. It was a good ride and I’m thankful for it, but I’m done now.

    Wow, I am shocked at just how bad this new app is, after the purchase by another company. Everything I loved about Readly is sadly gone. The magazine covers (of what is left) are teeny tiny. It no longer tells you how many of your chosen magazines have added new issues. The catalogue feature is not working so you can’t even see what magazines are available. There is a lot of really old content but where is the new? Definitely not worth the price anymore. So unhappy that most of the content I enjoyed seems to be no longer available. And customer service does not respond to emails. Bad all around.

    Prior to being acquired Readly was my go-to apps for daily newspapers and magazine subscriptions. I enjoyed reading papers n Ireland, Scotland, and England. Following the update international newspapers are no longer available, greatly diminishing the value of the app. I’ll probably discontinue in the near future.

    Wth change an app when acquiring a company? You cleared out all flags of already red magazines. Who does that?! Stupid! But opening with a pop up screen showing all „improvements“. Not a single thing made anything better. No one pays for readly because of how the app looks, we want to read magazines and not lose information on which have or haven‘t red yet.
