Rafter Finder by SolVe finds the rafters on thin roof coverings such as Slate, Composite or Cambrian Slate - just by using your phone. Find the nail connecting the batten to the rafter - confirm 2 or 3 nails above or below each other, thats the rafter line. For thicker coverings - use small magnets in place of nails, placed along the rafters to identify the rafter line from above the roof.
