Get things done! The award-winning Things app helps you plan your day, manage your projects, and make real progress toward your goals. Best of all, it’s easy to use. Within the hour, you’ll have everything off your mind and neatly organized—from routine tasks to your biggest life goals—and you can start focusing on what matters today. “Things offers the best combination of design and functionality of any app we tested, with nearly all the features of other power user applications and a delightful interface that never gets in the way of your work.” —Wirecutter, The New York Times KEY FEATURES • Your To-Dos Your basic building block is the almighty To-Do—each a small step toward a great accomplishment. You can add notes, tag it, schedule it, and break it down into smaller steps. • Your Projects Create a Project for any big goal, then add the to-dos to reach it. Use headings to structure your list as you outline your plan. There’s also a place to jot down your notes, and a deadline to keep you on schedule. • Your Areas Create an Area for each sphere of your life, such as Work, Family, Finance, and so on. This keeps everything neatly organized, and helps you see the big picture as you set your plans in motion. • Your Plan Everything on your schedule is neatly laid out in the Today and Upcoming lists, which show your to-dos and calendar events. Each morning, see what you planned for Today and decide what you want to do. The rest is down to you :) MORE THINGS TO LOVE As you dive deeper, you’ll find Things packed with helpful features. Here are just a few: • Reminders — set a time and Things will remind you. • Repeaters — automatically repeat to-dos on a schedule you set. • This Evening — a special place for your evening plans. • Calendar integration — see your events and to-dos together. • Tags — categorize your to-dos and quickly filter lists. • Quick Entry — create to-dos from anywhere, as soon as the thought hits you. • Quick Find — instantly locate to-dos, headings, or tags. • Type Travel — jump from list to list with your keyboard; just start typing! • Widgets — see your lists on the desktop or in Notification Center. • Mail to Things — forward an email to Things; now it’s a to-do. • Markdown — structure & style your notes. • And much more! MADE FOR MAC Things is tailored to the Mac with deep system integrations as well. A great example is Quick Entry with Autofill: a shortcut that grabs content from other apps and adds it to Things for you, such as a link to a website or an email you want to get back to. You can also enjoy a beautiful dark mode at sunset, connect your calendars, open multiple windows, add a variety of widgets, import from Reminders—Things can do it all! There’s even Shortcuts integration if you want to automate your workflows. STAY PRODUCTIVE ON THE GO Things also has full-featured apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro (sold separately). All your devices sync seamlessly via our free Things Cloud service. • Many years…

Honestly, I love Things. I use it every day and have for many, many years — ever since The Hit List was abandoned. But there is a very annoying bug, a known bug, that still isn’t fixed. In fact, a few years ago when I contacted support, they said: “Thanks for getting in touch! I'm sorry about this – it's a known bug, and our developers have prioritized the fix alongside their other work, but I can't give you an ETA for a solution just yet, my apologies.” I use multiple monitors and Things does not remember its position when it’s started, like ALL my other apps do. I anxiously await this being fixed so I can bump the review up to 5 stars…
  • A companion tool for life

I’ve been using Things for years. I don’t feel pressured to use it every single day, but there are times where I’ve used it daily, and times where it’s been a tool I turn to only when I need it. That’s what I like about it…it’s consistently good over YEARS, and is there to use however works for me! I’m in a phase right now where I use it multiple times a day, and the organization and support it gives to my projects and life is phenomenal. I sincerely appreciate the effort and consistent work the development team puts into Things, and I look forward to using it for years to come.

I’ve used things for a while and love the little updates. Wish you could put a simple feature to print your whole list (all projects together) instead of having to call up each project list and print. I don’t assign dates most of the time so I can use the “anytime” list to print, but it has a flaw by having to go through and open each project list form the hidden tasks. A simple way to print everything for review would be really nice

I’ve been incredibly happy with how Things has helped me keep track of all I have going on. I’ve recently started a new role and it’s been a lifesaver for keeping track of everything.
  • Actually best priced GTD app

The fact that this is a one time purchase makes it superior to literally every subscription-based app. $5/mo gets you only two months of activity with another app when you can get a better designed app for a lifetime. I could not recommend this app more :) GTD works so well too
  • Great Task Manager

I have used a lot of task managers in the past 45 years and Things 3 is the best. It is very well thought out and helps me keep my important tasks organized and done when they need to get done.
  • One of the best

I have tried many, many task manager apps over the years, and I can say that I always come back to Things 3. Truly there are apps with more features, more options, more stuff built in, but more often than not these bolted on features only serve to confuse and clutter the experience. While Things 3 might not have every feature under the sun, it has a clear identity and a focus on simplicity and order. I find it so conducive to project planning and task management. Plus the one-time-purchase price is a welcome contrast from the subscription model domination that most Task Managers experience. No matter what else I try, I always find myself coming back to Things where everything has a purpose and nothing is extra, bolted on, distracting, or flashy. It is clean, organized, purposeful, and it works
  • Low Friction - High Focus - EASY and FAST Import from ToDoist

I’d purchased the apps before, but thought that there were some features missing. Went to ToDoist for a while, but didn’t really use it much. Listened to a Cal Newport podcast were he mentioned that he just moved to it because the key in an app is not features, it’s low friction. That resonated because I have used a lot of ToDo apps that have cool features, but I found myself not using most of them. After reopening Things this week, I was struck by how smooth it is to use it, especially with keyboard shortcuts. The built-in import from things was lighting fast, even though I wasn’t on wifi and I had over 400 tasks spread across probably at least 20 projects. It was easy once I was in Things to purge what had become stale and reorganize what I wanted to keep. Loving it! The UI and the Workflow logic that they have built in has already helpful get important things done this week. Excited to keep this going and see where it takes me.

I’m so grateful for an awesome tool like Things! It took what I was doing manually (that took forever) and made it so streamlined for me. Highly recommend this!
  • Things (you want to lose)

I bought this app because I heard only good things about it. I really wanted to try this app because it had its own sync service, which meant that I didn’t have to be signed into the same iCloud account and I could still use it. I must have the worst luck in the world. Or this app is just not good. Every single time I added a device and enabled sync, I chose the option "use the cloud version of the data (wipe my device)" and instead it wiped the cloud version of the data and replaced it with my empty list (because it was a new device). This should have been the sign for me to abandon the app. But I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and because I could immediately see that there was an issue, I could restore the previous tasks from backup. This week, it straight up deleted one of my notes and I lost an hour doing data forensics on the Things app to see if I could restore it. I checked all of my hourly snapshots and it was not there. Maybe you’ll get lucky with this app, or maybe you’ll lose your data!
