    UPDATE: even with 2 more updates since this app crashed in April it is still unusable. My opening screen still only spins. This app used to be great, 5 stars now it’s useless. So sad. Last month with the update it could no longer load app. It just keeps spinning and shows loading. I thought with the update this week it would fix the app. Nope, still doesn’t load. A perfectly good app has been brought to its knees.

    Older version was far superior. WTF. Terrible update & design. Purple layout is gross, giant print for who? Buttons don't work, BLOCK should be at TOP, many issues. FIX IT.

    Latest update removed the paid feature to block prefix numbers that begin with. App is basically useless now. Wish I could get my money back.

    Been using Hiya for about 6 years. The latest update has pretty much killed it for me, other than as a background filter of sorts. Used to use Lookup a lot, now it is a chore, might as well use Google to look up numbers. Tap.. Tap.. TAP!!! Nothing. Tap again, get results of last lookup. Basically it takes the same amount of time to do ONE Lookup now as it used to take to do 5 before.

    I have been using this app now for many years. When I first started using it the App was not really bad , but I can’t say everything got blocked and it was a 100% useful tool! Because it wasn’t, but I hung in there and over the years it has gotten better and better. Why because the Technology kept changing and as it did the fight to combat the Crooks got stronger and I could see on my end that I was not getting the Bad calls from Telemarketers and people who wanted to steal my money and identity if I was stupid enough to give them the opportunity! So now HIYA has gotten to the point for me I seldom get those calls now Days. Oh I still get one now and then but the Crooks are not stupid they change their number as fast as you can blink. But the Technology of this app has gotten for me where the number change is being picked up and blocked! I wish I could go back to a phone book or an operator or just being able to pick up the phone and answer it when it rings. But those Days are gone never I hate to say will they return. But my Friends Hiya has really put out this Unique Outstanding Design App to Protect all of us. So Hiya I Tip my Hat 🎩 to you for creating a 5 Star ⭐️ app through all of these years. So on my end I want to say “ Thanks ! “. Like I said when I started this review this App is not perfect, but there is no App out here that is perfect the reason the Crooks are not stupid they have a way of changing their crooked numbers at an alarming rate! Hiya with our help has been trying for years now to stop this process or at least slow it down. So any annoying calls that you receive and you notice are new numbers please report them immediately don’t do what the Crooks want and throw your hands in the air and walk away! This action will never work but most likely will get the Crooks to call you back “ Tomorrow “ Thanks ! “

  • App frozen in iOS 26

    I’ve used Hiya for years and love it. However with the upgrade to the latest version of iOS 26, the app doesn’t work. I open it and it’s frozen. I made sure I have the most recent version of Hiya and I do. I can’t look up a number or any other feature in the app any longer. No help for this on the Hiya website.
