  • Subscription Trap

    The product was working alright but when my wife was out of town and I had to switch the alarm clock to be connected to my phone, the app wouldn’t let me access anything without signing up for the subscription. The screen says no subscription is needed, but there is no way around it. Additionally, they have limited tech support hours so you can’t solve problems at the times of day that you would, say, use a damn alarm clock. Update: just a few weeks later they put the feature to have a wind down behind a paywall. That’s the whole reason we got the clock in the first place. Fine product, GARBAGE company.

    Used for a few years with multiple devices. The speakers can burn out in just a few years. Sounds become bizarre sometimes and connectivity can be wildly unpredictable. Not worth the subscription. They are convenient but much or a scam. Not child friendly at all, just a parent’s convenience with lots of troubleshooting

    After the most recent update, I can’t control the volume or light setting from my phone. If this continues I’ll be canceling. The website for help is useless, to echo everyone else.

    The app is very frustrating to use. It takes a long time to connect to the machine even when I’m standing right next to it. Sometimes it doesn’t recognize the device at all, and other times the commands just don’t work. I try to change the light, sound, or volume and nothing happens.
  • Not all functions work

    I've had the hatch restore for about a year now and it worked perfectly for about 2 months, now the app is so slow to connect with my restore and the sleep function stopped working completely so I can't sleep to sound noises. When it works it works beautifully and reminds me exactly why I shelled out the expensive price and monthly subscription, but for some reason the sleep function never works.
  • Nice clock, bad app

    The clock is very aesthetic, seems well built and is very effective. However the app is awful. It crashes regularly and every time it connects to my clock the clock stops working properly. The current issue is the clock display. I love that you can set different brightness settings for day and night but mine stopped working so I unplugged it to reset it. Tested it again and it worked but as soon as I opened the app again it stopped working again. It’s especially frustrating because I think even the lowest light setting at night is too bright, maybe it wouldn’t be as bad if I could change the clock color, so for it to either stay way too bright at night or be unreadably dim during the day is frustrating for a product that’s primary purpose is to show the time.
  • App barely works

    I love the Hatch, but the app is terrible. When you try to change an alarm And save the change, about 70% of the time the app says “Oops, please try again” and it doesn’t save the changes. Frustrating!
  • Do not get

    The app is difficult to manage for no reason, after free trial there are 4 free sounds that are an option to wake you up. Waste of money & trial ends after 30days so can’t make a return
  • Bad updates and customer service

    Recent update to the app has made my hatch nonfunctional. Customer service is blaming my Wi-Fi, despite the fact that nothing with my Wi-Fi changed and the problem started with the app update on May 14. Subscription canceled and I recommend everybody consider different devices than this company’s.
