Description

The gold standard of macOS file transfer apps just drove into the future. Transmit 5 is here. Upload, download, and manage files on tons of servers with an easy, familiar, and powerful UI. Transmit 5 has… MORE SERVERS. Transmit now connects to 11 new cloud services, like Backblaze B2, Box, Google Drive, DreamObjects, Dropbox, Microsoft Azure, and Rackspace Cloud Files. And yes, Transmit still handles the classics — FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, and S3 — better than any. We make complex services drag-and-drop simple. MORE SYNC. Transmit 5 now includes Panic Sync, our secure and fast way to sync your sites. And our robust File Sync feature adds support for local-to-local and remote-to-remote sync, while also giving you more fine-grained control. MORE SPEED. We disassembled Transmit’s engine and rebuilt it, again, to significantly boost speed. T5 is better at multithreading and smarter about complex folders. Plus it’s got a new activity view to better focus on what Transmit is doing right now. It’s very fast. MUCH MORE. - Get Info Sidebar. Inspect items as you browse, right in the browser. - Batch Rename. Powerful, flexible, and built-in for local or remote. - Places Bar. Jump to your favorite folders with a single click. - Keys. Manage and generate secure keys right in Transmit. - Tags - Local-local sync - 2-Factor Login - Open in Terminal - Brand New UI - Extra Large Amazon S3 File Support - And So Much More We hope you enjoy using Transmit. Hit us up anytime if you have any ideas on how to make it even better! SUBSCRIPTION INFO. • Transmit requires a subscription to use. This subscription includes full access to the Transmit app, as well as access to Panic Sync, our secure online solution for syncing your sites between devices. • Launch Transmit to begin your 7-day free trial. You can cancel during the free trial at any point, and you won't be charged for using Transmit. • After 7 days, you'll automatically be billed $24.99/year (or the equivalent in your country) through an auto-renewing subscription. • An active subscription entitles you to unlimited Transmit app updates, including both minor updates and major new features! • You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you do, once you reach the end of your subscription period, the app will no longer function. But your data will not be deleted from the app, or from Panic Sync. Forgot all other programs! Transmit is quick, smart, safe and effective.
  • Subscription based.

I pay for subscriptions to newspapers, where hundreds of reporters work every day to gather the news. I think subscription based software is ridiculous, though. This is an FTP program, probably doesn’t require a lot of updating of the core functions, probably the only updating is modifying it for the latest OS. That’s why I would pay for it one time, but a yearly subscription for an ftp program? Naw.
  • More overpriced subscription

I know its the way of the world But Ill use a worse program rather than pay this per year.

Something I bought, became something I have to buy yearly and doesn’t work anymore.
  • Great program terrible billing model

It’s a shame that you guys went to the subscription billing model, I won’t be renewing when it runs out, and if I had noticed this time, I would have gone a different way. Top of the line program, but I refuse to rent software.

Transmit 4 was so dang stable compared to this rewrite. I sure am glad for all those new features I never ever use, I guess.

I’ve been using Transmit for years, and it’s by far the easiest and most seamless FTP client I’ve tried. Recently, I ran into a bug where the app would crash when renaming folders. I reported it, and less than an hour later, I received a response with a temporary workaround. Just a week later, an update appeared in the App Store that fully resolved the issue. Incredible customer service and fantastic product support. Thanks again Cintya and team!

“Better-looking Total Commander for the Mac” is still a must-have app for anyone who’s got a lot of discs, scattered across the world and the cloud! Just get it. Just click the button and get it you’ll never regret it
  • Used to be the best

I used to recommend Transmit to EVERYONE, but it has gotten to just be a tool for Panic, rather than a tool that was like the Mac used to be – a tool for the rest of us. The push to condense everything into the smallest possible area, make everything into stupid icons that are ambiguous and pull away the design features that made it useful for any use case or user type has made it frustrating as heck these days. Interface elements are all over the place, there is NO chrome to move the window around, the list goes on and on. Yes, Transmit works, but that is about it. The joy is gone.
