  • Paper

I miss the sound of the paper hitting the driveway early in the morning. I miss Herb Caen, Art Hoppe, Stanton Delaplane. It’s all very very sad reading on a screen.

SF Chronicle often bugs me, but they did us all a big favor by exposing Swalwell

I just love catching up with the SF and Bay Area news. I grew up in the area and live there until 2000 when my parents decided to move to Las Vegas . At 40ish I moved with them. So this app is great to see everything that is going on since I used to get the ‘real paper’. Thank you.
  • Now one the most frustrating Sports pages in the newspaper world.

Been reading the green sheet for 75 years. No. 1 in writers and sports coverage, but now almost almost worthless since it doesn’t have any of the prior day’s sports news in it. I keep thinking I should probably stop subscribing. Bob McIntyre Palo Alto
  • Where is the e-edition option?

I want the full, real paper, not what their marketing feels I should see. The e-edition option is always buried. It makes me give up and go get another paper, and I pay for the full edition
  • Sports only

Perhaps you could seek a sports only subscription. Maybe around $5/month?
  • Great format

Thank you for providing a great news source for San Francisco and the Bay Area. The E-newspaper is fun to read, but the app portion along with the listen feature is great when you’re on the go.

Great access and ability to share stories. Just wish that the older stories would drop off sooner.
  • BEST NEWSPAPER

I lived in San Francisco for many years while I was in the Navy. I live in Nebraska now, but missed reading ‘the Chronicle.’ I am still a huge fan of the Giants, the Warriors and the 49ers. The Sporting Green is phenomenal. The newspaper excels in professional journalism and it takes me back to the city I love every time I read it.
  • App is fine, newspaper is a joke

Most of the coverage is about food and restaurants and a little bit about sports. Serious political coverage is mostly just about the city of San Francisco. Numerous articles have click bait headlines, as in “ this neighborhood has something unusual going on,” but the only way to find out what neighborhood the article is talking about is to click through.
