I love that this app connects me to my athletic friends! I don’t need a subscription because my watch app gives me all the detailed info I need.

I use Strava as not only a way to track my workouts but as a way to connect with other athletes. Strava works great with my Garmin Forerunner and I love how it syncs. It can be a bit of a pain to sync it when it’s unsynced but it’s a great app overall. Many will say it’s a paywall to get all of the good stuff. But I say that you don’t need all of the crazy details, just get the basics down and then you’ll be fine.
  • Refuses to Save Last Activity

It always assumes I am cycling when in fact every activity is/was a run.
  • Insanely slow customer service (3+ weeks)

My email was deactivated after graduating from school. I tried to change my account’s email on both the app and the website but only received unclear error messages. I had begun a free trial and was locked out of my account since the only way to log in is with two-factor authentication through your accounts email (mine no longer exists). The trial period ended, and my card was charged $79.99 for an app I cannot access. This sounds like a pretty routine fix but I have been waiting for 22 days now to receive any kind of assistance. I love the utility of Strava and have used it for many years but I’m very upset its administrators at this time. Hopefully this catches their attention!

I’ve had a great time with Strava so far, it’s my favorite way to keep up with friends virtually. I often commute by bike and post many rides to and from work, though I often continue riding after stopping at home, and would love some more robust hide features. Currently, the hide start and end is limited to 1 mile only, which has been quite constraining, since I work farther than a mile away from home. It would be great to have no limit on the hide feature, that way I don’t have to completely crop/edit out such a big portion of my ride, or just hide my map entirely to hide where I live (no fun). Alternatively, and probably more difficult to implement, it would be cool to be able to hide/erase any section of an activity. For example, if I stopped at home halfway through, it would be sweet if I could hide from where I turned onto my street to where I came back. I hope this reaches a developer, I would love for one of these features to exist. It would make my time on Strava much more enjoyable and cut down on the time I spend deciding how to hide my home during an activity, or when posting it afterward.

  • It’s OK and free is OK but the request $80 for a year is outrageous

It’s been OK for the free portion. I’d be happy to purchase a yearly premium membership but $80 is just outrageous A few of my friends in my run group feel the same way You folks want $320 a year from the 4 of us but you’re getting zero dollars. How about drop it to $40 and get $160 out of us?!
  • Don’t buy the subscription
