Learning a language can be an experience that transforms your life. Over 25 years of language learning experience has taught Rosetta Stone one thing: everyone has the ability to learn to read, write, and speak a language with confidence. Try the Rosetta Stone app yourself for free. Many online language learning apps will promise that you can learn a language in just a few minutes a day. However, there is a significant difference between memorizing vocabulary lists and speaking a language with confidence. Learning a language is about more than just the words. One of the mistakes new language learners make is treating language as an object or an end goal instead of as an experience. Ditch the books, translator, and dictionary, and surround yourself with a language whenever, wherever with the Rosetta Stone mobile app. What are people saying about Rosetta Stone: • CNN Underscored - "There’s a good reason why the language learning app Rosetta Stone is the gros chien (that is, the big dog) of the apps we tested" • Mashable - "one of the OG language-learning services, known for its deep dive into accent pronunciation" • Popular Science - "super-smooth and intuitive, and the lessons neither feel too short so as to be forgettable nor too long so as to be a chore" • PC Mag - "reliable, accurate, and thorough" Rosetta Stone has taught millions of people new languages, and you’re next. At first I didn’t really like it and kept changing the languages, but then I tried to figure out one and got better, and now I’m great at French (if you are in Paris some time say “Bonjour” to them for me).
  • Annoying

I spoke perfectly but it wouldn’t hear it and then when I didn’t say anything it said it was poor

My third language (French) learning it with this app is fun and it is like being in France, makes me think only in French and if I don’t understand a word I can click on the sentence to see the translation but it is not often because the pictures are very clear and makes me think and live the language like in real life.
  • Confusing learning

You’re app I feel does not give enough translation on what the sentences mean and you just use pictures, but pictures don’t always work.

This is a great app, and has great lessons, but it would be nice if it tells you how to say “hi” “bye or “I do not speak swedish” at the beginning.
  • Terrific program, terrible app

This app is remarkable. Rosetta Stone has been around for 30 years or more. They have had an iOS app for closing in on multiple decades. And yet, after all that time, it still stumbles between using it online - connected to the internet via cellular/WiFi - and offline. I use R.S. At home on WiFi. Works great. I use R.S. on the bus (no connection) - terrible. Very often, the app will try to connect to any network, which it cannot, and will not let me continue. Yes, I have downloaded all the lessons. Yes, I have closed and reopened the app. Yes, I have cleared its cache, removed and reinstalled it, even wiped the entire iPad. It still asks for a network connection about once every four or five days. Also, it does not sync the status of my offline progress to online or vibe-versa with any predictable regularity. Sometimes, sure, but not always, and I frequently find myself re-doing lessons because of this. In short, for a long-lived app from a well-known and experienced company, this app is shockingly unpredictable and dismayingly amateur. I cannot recommend it.
  • Terrible audio listener

It’s literally terrible even when I’m pronouncing the sentence exactly like the speaker and even in the same tone to try to fix it , it says I’m wrong. Highly frustrating and it needs to be fix immediately
