  • No ability to link characters with units

Simple, yet missing, functionality. Until this app allows you to link a leader to a unit and automstically update their stats, you’ll always need to use a better army builder.
  • Subscription system doesn’t work well

The app is alright overall but I absolutely cannot support an app that I subscribed to using real money, in which after the first day, my subscription just stopped working. If you want to use this app please do not spend any money on it.

I hate the fact that everything is locked behind a physical and digital paywall. I strictly stick to TableTopSimulator and free Apps for my armies. Why would I pay a monthly fee and still have to buy the physical copies! GW’s greed knows no bounds! I am waiting for my printer to arrive so I can print my armies instead of paying GW’s and scalper’s costs!

If warhammer is trying to get new players, they just lost this one. The app’s free option only allows 1 build out, in which there are dozens of factions to choose from, and that’s before you look at space marines. So I’m not able to compare to see if what I chose is what I want. After choosing an army, you need to choose from a dozen detachments, which details are locked to free accounts. As a player looking to get into a game, locking me out of information on required parts unless I pay is obscene. And that’s where I said I’m done. The Warmachine app allows me to see all of the rules an army options for free, and let’s me design 6 armies to let me examine how each build out. Warhammer wants to charge me to see if I want to play. Warmachine is built so when I’m ready to commit, I know what I’m walking into. Sorry Warhammer, you’re just the inferior product for newbies…

  • Perfect List Building, and Game Companion

I have roughly a hundred army lists built in this app, but beyond list building this app offers excellent resources for quick rules references and free Combat Patrol packs. It honestly leaves me wanting for nothing.
  • Sell the code!

Sell the code for digital and quit wasting paper! Since the book is out of date in two weeks after release and the app updates
  • Perfectly useable with minimum effort by the creators

The app does what it was made to do and nothing more, it does not excel at any one thing that other apps or websites already do better. The lack of free content, battle tracker, crusade rules, and more make this app a good list builder that I use alongside other apps like tabletop battles and that’s about it
  • Cheap at best, scummy at worst

Not only do free alternatives have more concise rules again, for *free,* you also aren’t locked to only one list without buying a monthly subscription. Five would be understandable, but who only ever wants to play one list at a time? If you buy two codices and play two armies regularly, you can only have one digital, updating list of only one list of one of your armies. Officially without a subscription, they expect you to put everything else on a google doc or pen and paper or something. The app is still convenient and has better ui than its free alternatives so I just bought the subscription for one month and “made” like fifteen lists I can change even after the subscription ended. For an app intended to be the go-to way to build and play Warhammer, it is literally only a one-list listbuilder and a digital rulebook.
  • Good not Great

The app itself is great, the only thing I’d like is an indicator of how many of the same weapon a model has, IE. a Rogal Dorn tank with two heavy stubbers. Just like a number beside the weapon would be great. Also, once you pick a load out to remove all the other weapons that weren’t chosen, IE. Heavy Weapons Squads only equipped with mortars, I don’t need to see auto cannons and heavy bolter stats, it would just make readability easier and more organized. And than outside the app, let us buy a code for the codex instead of buying a physical book, i haven’t even opened my codex more than once and it was just to get the digital code, it’s just wasteful.
