  • Comet is brilliant; Perplexity Pro left me disappointed

Comet is incredibly powerful and intuitive — it turns browsing into an assistant-driven workflow and the UI feels modern without the over‑polished “glass” look other apps copy. I get far more value using Comet’s built‑in assistant and multiple LLM options than I ever did from the Perplexity app. Comet’s ability to summarize pages, act across tabs, and offer multiple models in one place has genuinely changed how I research and browse. That said, I canceled Perplexity Pro after one month because the Pro experience didn’t match expectations. Pro promised broader sourcing but in my regular use it often pulled only a handful of similar sources rather than a diverse spectrum, and prompting for broader coverage rarely fixed that. I also expected access to “council mode” (multiple LLMs side‑by‑side) with Pro and was surprised it wasn’t included. Deep research features were good, but overall the subscription felt misleading and I ran into confusing credit usage when experimenting with Perplexity Computer — creating apps consumed credits quickly without clear warnings. This left me feeling scammed rather than supported. (This is my personal experience.) If Perplexity wants to win me back, a free or heavily discounted month of Pro that actually unlocks council mode and clearer credit transparency would be reasonable — I’d gladly try it and update this review. Bottom line: Comet is the reason I kept using Perplexity’s tech — the browser is excellent. But Perplexity’s Pro product and credit model need clearer communication and better value alignment.

I love that I can go on any website and instantly ask you a question and have it help me navigate it, especially since a lot of people don’t update their sites and they’re already not user-friendly makes navigating and finding data more useful and simple

It’s NOT a browser and it’s difficult to get on and then navigate actual websites.

El mejor de todos. Lo empezas a usar y todos los demás te parecen navegadores viejos.
  • Great browser but need polish

I love Comet on Desktop, but I really dislike being able to explicitly do a web search vs AI query. I want a toggle or two separate ways to search or prompt. I dont want the app “intelligently” trying to determine whether to provide AI text response vs browser search, because it often times gets what mode I want wrong and I have to do another search. I want to control whether I get an AI response or browser search
  • Image & Video generation needs more work.

Grok just can’t get the details right, like it’s never had an image of a human.
