This app is a professional engineering workflow platform that guides controls engineers through the complete design of an industrial SCADA system for a utility-scale power generation facility. Version 2.0 introduces three major new interactive engineering tools not available in the original release: a full I/O Tag Database Builder, an Alarm Matrix Builder, and an Engineering Notes system. These tools allow engineers to actively build and manage real engineering data -- not just read reference content. I/O TAG DATABASE BUILDER This app now includes a dedicated I/O Tag Database Builder where users can create, edit, and manage a complete I/O point database for their project. Every tag can be configured with signal type (AI, AO, DI, DO, PI), PLC rack and slot address, channel assignment, engineering units, analog range limits, four-level alarm setpoints (HH, H, L, LL), historian logging settings, and field device notes. Tags are searchable and filterable by signal type with live summary counts. This feature goes beyond reference content and allows engineers to build an actual deliverable as they learn the workflow. ALARM MATRIX BUILDER This app includes a dedicated Alarm Matrix Builder where users define their complete alarm management strategy per ISA-18.2 principles. Each alarm entry captures tag name, alarm description, priority classification (Critical, High, Medium, Low, Journal), category (Process, Equipment, Safety, Environmental, Communications, System), setpoint value, deadband, on-delay, operator response message, shelving and suppression permissions, and active status. The matrix is filterable by priority and searchable by tag name or description. ENGINEERING NOTES This app includes an Engineering Notes system that allows users to capture technical decisions, engineering rationale, and lessons learned at every step of the 17-phase workflow. Notes are saved automatically and associated with each phase and step, creating a personal engineering decision log that follows the project from initiation through closeout. WORKFLOW AND REFERENCE CONTENT This app also guides users through two complete sample SCADA designs from project initiation to final closeout across all 17 engineering phases. The two projects are a 650 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant and a 180 MW Hydroelectric station. Each phase contains engineering objectives, step-by-step guidance, over 50 embedded engineering drawings, validation checklists, and realistic deliverables covering SCADA architecture, OT network design, IEC 62443 cybersecurity, PLC system design, HMI design, alarm management, historian configuration, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and turnover documentation.
