Description

Nintendo's hit strategy-RPG Fire Emblem series, which has been going strong for more than 30 years, continues its journey on smart devices. Fight battles customized for touch screens and on-the-go play. Summon characters from across the Fire Emblem universe. Develop your Heroes' skills, and take them to new heights. This is your adventure—a Fire Emblem that's like nothing you've seen before! This application is free to download and offers some optional in-app purchases. ■ An epic quest The game features an ongoing, original story where new characters and dozens upon dozens of battle-tested Heroes from across the Fire Emblem universe meet. There are over 2,900 story stages available as of February 2026! (This total includes all difficulty modes.) Clear these story stages and you'll earn Orbs, which are used for summoning Heroes. New story chapters are added frequently, so don't miss out! ■ Intense battles Take part in strategic turn-based battles streamlined for on-the-go play with maps that fit in the palm of your hand! You'll need to think hard about the advantages and disadvantages of each Hero's weapon...and even evaluate the map itself as you battle. Lead your army with easy touch-and-drag controls, including the ability to attack by simply swiping an ally over an enemy. New to strategic turn-based battles? Don't worry! Use the Auto-Battle option to have your characters fight on their own. ■ Strengthen your favorite Heroes There are many ways to strengthen your allies: leveling, skills, weapons, equipable items, and more. Take your characters to greater and greater heights as you battle for victory. ■ Replayable modes In addition to the main story, there are many other modes where you can strengthen your allies, compete against other players, and more. ■ Original characters meet legendary Heroes The game features numerous Hero characters from the Fire Emblem series and brand-new characters created by artists Yusuke Kozaki, Shigeki Maeshima, and Yoshiku. Some Heroes will fight at your side as allies, while others may stand in your way as fierce enemies to be defeated and added to your army. * Internet connectivity required to play. I love this game. I started playing it when I was in high school. Fire Emblem has been one of my favorite Nintendo IPs. The art and voice acting in this game is genuinely one of the main reasons I kept playing it. I took a break from the game for about a year though and just recently came back. I’m not surprised to see that the power creep is still immense. Characters I built the last time I played that were actually really good are almost completely obsolete. Almost every new main banner character has some insane weapon with nearly an entire novels’ worth of skills. Canto and special cooldown are absolutely everywhere. I’m seeing more and more characters with abilities that allow them to solo an entire enemy team on the first turn. It is a gacha game at its core so I guess it’s to be expected But aside from that, I still enjoy the game. It’s fun to see what other people do to build up their own characters.
  • Completely Powercrept and Bloated Gacha

I’m a huge Fire Emblem fan. I played this game upon release and quickly stopped due to balancing issues, the style being a bit too dumbed down, and the story being lackluster. I came back and played for a week and all of those things are significantly worse than before. The game now has 10 years of bloat and powercreep. Every battle is stat check or be stat checked, even the campaigns vs NPCs. There is no logical, linear approach to the game. You have to essentially play Cookie Clicker for 80 hours before you can get to a point that you even understand relative unit power because before this point you are simply underpowered. The campaign is still convoluted and boring. Canto is still ridiculously OP in conjunction with movement/Union skills. It’s even worse now since Harmonized skills exist. Any strategy that could be in the game is made irrelevant by stat-checking defense builds and/or hyper-mobile builds that simply cannot be caught due to the game’s movement restrictions and small maps. 0/10 would not recommend.
  • Some of the worst powercreep I have ever seen

Genuinely, I think this game is one of the worst gacha games on the market as of right now. This game is ten years old this year and it is genuinely not a good game. This game has had the same festering wounds since the first few years of its release and done nothing to make a good game that is balanced and enjoyable on any merit other than one thing: gambling. If you can and are willing to shell out around a 100 dollars a month for the new meta units you will have a fun time, if you're not and aren't lucky well, you simply won't. There are few attempts to balance the game and its units, while I can understand that not every unit will be good or viable (unless you're willing to invest a lot of money or time and unnecessary work), I think that at the very least keeping your game approachable and flagship units toted as "Legendary" or "Mythical" should be a priority, however the developers simply do not want to because they can milk more money out of their player base by making them deal with FOMO or powercreep every month. They do not care about F2P players. If you want to play a good RPG that actually has balanced gameplay and allows units to be viable in your team composition and beautiful art, play Granblue Fantasy instead. The game is criticized for being overwhelming to new players, but at least skill descriptions aren't so convoluted that I need a microscope to read them and put Yu-Gi-Oh cards to shame. This game needs a complete overhaul to be good and I have left feedback to the developers for years that it is suffering the same issues that led to games like Kingdom Hearts Union Cross becoming unplayable and eventually shuttering. Look elsewhere for a good game.
