If you're expecting a successor to Fire Emblem Heroes this isn't it. Nothing like it. And not my thing.

Gameplay- 100% f2p. It is a social deduction multiplayer game with two rounds. The first round three players play as disciples of light fighting monsters, but one player is a traitor. After that round there is a vote. If those on the light vote right, they get a second bonus life for the next round where the traitor’s character takes a monstrous (yet cute) form and acts as a boss in a 2v1 PvP battle (the traitor does get 1 or more monsters as well). The game does keep the traditional weapon advantage. Red does bonus damage to green, green to blue, and blue to red. Character- Each character has its own unique ability and three spells that come with it. It takes 12 soul fragments to unlock a character. Medals with green jewels are used to level them up. The three spells that came with that character (as well as their personal skill) level up with them, but the three spells can be used on any character. Levels also are important as they will allow for better weapons to be equipped as their ranks go up. There are multiple original characters as well as legacy characters (as of this review Dimitri, Lyn, Corrin (female version), Veronica, Ike, Edelgard, Ephraim, and Yunaka). Also the art is really good. Rating system- Every character starts at a light rating and shadow rating of 1. During one every other ‘player’ is a bot, but 2-40 are real players. Even if one loses, their rating will continue to go up until rating 19. After that the rating will go down after a defeat (to the current ratings beginning. The rating can’t demote you beyond your current rating though). F2P- This game is actually 100% F2P. The only things money can be used for are battle passes (only legacy characters excluding Dimitri who is able to be unlocked in the game through story progression), outfits, and for those who for whatever reason want to, buying levels. The game instead has chests that give random rewards. Depending on how one does in the match they can get up to three gold chests. These chests will mostly give low level weapons and perks but can give Lv. 7-8 character weapons, character souls fragments, and medals. The legacy characters outside special events have an extremely low chance, but can be obtained after their battle passes ends and their fragments are added to the reward pool. Login rewards- every day there is free medals and gold. Also four daily challenges. One challenge for medals, the other three give points towards battle passes progression. Bazaar- a live player based market where gold is used. Players can sell weapons, perks, and excess soul fragments. Unfortunately it does mean some things are extremely expensive. Also that prices adjust often. Also unfortunately some prices (especially soul fragments) are high because people horde them. Story- the story is in two halves. Light and shadow. They progress through playing as that respective side. There are rewards as well such as soul fragments (most unlocked through this), green jewels, and medals. Some soul fragments are only a portion though and the rest must be unlocked through chest or purchasing from other players in the bazaar. The story is decently good so far. My only complaints are the whole shadow and light path and not being able to revisit the tutorial part of the story from book one. For the first complaint, it’s confusing to tell the one between the two sometimes. The second part is it almost sounded like the stories would be separate with a light and shadow path, not just parts of the whole story. Only the rapports actually do the both sides. As for the second complaint, the tutorial has a decent amount of book 1’s story so if one wants to go back and enjoy the story, they can’t because it’s incomplete. Friends- there are friend lobbies. It is based by making up a code and sharing it. Overall review, it is an amazing game with quick short matches. It definitely isn’t for everyone, but it is worth a try and is a real Fire Emblem whether the complainers like it or not. Hopefully this review was helpful and apologies that it is so long.

Game was okay when I played when it first came out. I deleted because it was a little boring and repetitive. I wanted to redownload and see if they’ve added more or changed things, but it makes me replay the tutorial? Doesn’t give me an option to sign back in. I’m not willing to do the tutorial again because why would I need to? I don’t understand why I can’t login and just resume where I left off? It’s 2026 that should be the mandatory with any game at this point. I’m just going to delete. Okay game with repetitive game play. Unique? Absolutely.

This game…exists. It’s a niche experience seeing my favorite characters get animalfied. I mean if this ur thing, go for it. Lackluster and not a typical fire emblem gameplay. 2 stars ⭐️⭐️
