    I started on Lyft as a rider and eventually became a driver after relocating states. The platform itself was fairly easy to use, but my experience dealing with support and account issues completely changed my opinion of the company. After trying multiple times to regain access to my driver account just to view my stats, ratings, and account information, I was repeatedly asked for the same verification details over and over without receiving any actual answers. I explained that I was no longer receiving login confirmation emails and that my phone number had changed, yet every response from support felt scripted and unhelpful. I provided my email, updated phone number, vehicle registration, and insurance information, only to continue getting requests for additional documents with no explanation about what was actually wrong with my account. No one could clearly tell me whether my account was locked, deactivated, flagged, or simply inaccessible. It became an endless cycle of “send more information” without any transparency or resolution. As a former driver, it’s disappointing to see how little support drivers receive when problems arise. Drivers are expected to provide constant documentation and maintain standards, yet basic communication and problem-solving from support seems almost nonexistent. After dealing with this for far too long, I finally requested that my account be permanently deactivated. At this point, I’d rather move on to other platforms than continue dealing with a company that makes resolving simple account issues this difficult. Good luck to current and future drivers. Hopefully your experience is better than mine.

    I've used the app off and on for the last 9 years. Been a lot of changes but most have been for the better. It's my preferred app. In the begi Ning support was also exceptional. Lately it's not been and turned more automated instead of person based. The good part is the app is sogood that you rarely need support but if you do then expect it to be automated. The issue with that is you can be deactivated for things you didn't do or outside your control. If getting into rides are I recommend the app but hopefully you never need support for anything. Ask a friend that drivers as well.

    If you attempt to report any type of security issues with your account or it being compromised, support will log you out from everywhere you’re logged in, that’s the extent of the help you’ll receive. Lyft really must do better with caring about the security of their drivers and riders.
